Tried to call several times for my attorney and he never responded until I saw him the day of court ... then didn’t even know I paid him in full for his services.... the same attorney never showed up to speak to my fiancé who they are representing in jail to let him know anything , if I would’ve know how they do business I would have went somewhere else.

I have left numerous messages for several of your attorneys and not a single one has returned my phone call. Then I find out that one of the attorneys is in the Rogers County DA’s hip pocket and jockeying for a spot as an assistant DA. Talk about conflict of interest! They do not have their clients best interest in mind. I have spoken to so many people who have had horrible experiences with their cases and they were all handled through Hartley, mainly because Hartley Law Firm is the public defender for Rogers and Mayes County. Fair representation just isn’t in their vocabulary.
They never come see their clients at the jail, you have absolutely no idea what is going on with your case until you step in the courtroom. You’re not made aware of any plea agreements until you go to court and by then, your case has been continued for months and you just want it over with so you will agree to just about anything just as long as it keeps you out of jail/prison. With over 700 OIDS cases in Rogers County alone, the public defender is overwhelmed and way under staffed. The only people who suffers are the clients. I couldn’t imagine sitting in jail for 6 months just because your attorney doesn’t have enough time to handle your case so they continue it month after month after month. They have no idea what that does to a person. Ive seen it, it happens all the time and it isn’t fair nor should it be legal. The jail in Rogers County wouldn’t be as overcrowded as it is if the court system actually functioned in a timely manner, that includes the public defender doing his job by pushing the cases through. It’s such a shame.

Won't return calls, leaves you to wonder what is going on with your case while you sit in jail month after after month. Speaks to you as though you are beneath them.
