Andrew Coit stepped in a saved me after another local high profile lawyer fleeced me dry of all my money - billing extravagantly for anything and everything (the other firm even charged you if you called the front receptionist) on top of the high hourly rate - then they dropped me right before court because I couldn't pay the additional retainer they demanded. Andrew was profession, effective and charged reasonable fees. I would use him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him.

I have known Andrew since law school and Chelsea since she was a legal assistant and can tell you these are both extremely knowledgeable, hard working and zealous attorneys. I would recommend this firm for anyone looking for first-rate criminal defense or family law representation.

I have a 3, almost 4 year old now. At the time he was only 1 1/2. My ex had gotten up and left with out saying where she was going and left for three weeks. I decided I needed to try to get custody. I was very scared being a guy, I was worried about Oregon being a mother state. I had hired another lawyer previously. After my ex had shown up to my house and tried to take my son while I was at work, and had gotten some court ordered paper from a judge including a bogus restraining order to try and get the upper hand. This over the span of a couple of days because she was getting her way. She sat outside of my house for 5 hours one day. She seemed to care all of a sudden she didn’t care when she left for three weeks tho. After she “served” me the restraining order, and by serve I mean her MOM came into my work and gave them to me, I asked my lawyer what I should do. He said “I don’t know”. Well that made me upset because I was paying good money for him to give me legal advice. From that point it actually seemed like I was going to lose what I was trying to get. My ex had now got a lawyer and was pushing back. At this point it seemed like I was only going to get every other weekend. He was a nice guy but I had to fire him and get another lawyer. After a lot of searching I found Chelsea. After one consultation she seems very confident that I could get at least half of not full custody. So after a lot of talking we came up with a plan to start getting some traction again. She got the bogus restraining order dropped and got to a point where what I had thought was beginning to be a losing battle, was being to look up. Couple of months go by and in the end I ended up getting 50/50. Week on week off. Which was better than the 1 day a week every sat/sun I had. When I go back to get full custody I will definitely call Chelsea again. Chelsea gave me the confidence to know that fathers are not second class citizens.

I have worked with both Chelsea Payment and Andrew Coit and both are knowledgeable, professional and have great follow-through. I was able to receive the results that I was looking for with their expert legal counsel and I will continue to use their services in the future. Needless to say, you get what you pay for, but for the services they provide, they are reasonable! Ms. Payment is a communicator and negotiator. I have been involved in a contentious and complicated divorce/parenting time situation for 6 years. Throughout the years, I have had several lawyers. Ms. Payment was able to negotiate with the other side quickly and efficiently, avoiding a costly trial. As her client, I found her easily available and approachable. She is there for her client 100% . I feel she got me a very fair, and solid parenting plan in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

Chelsea has been working with me and this case for some time. She was able to secure full custody for me and my son. She worked diligently by finding information and presenting it in court that countered arguments made by the other party. She was not willing to back down in court and managed to keep her composure under some stressful behaviors from the other party.

Chelsea Payment is the best attourney I found to handle my divorce case. I had contacted two other attournies for my case and decided to work with Chelsea. She was very honest, to the point, very patient and incredibly professional. I found that she knows exactly what to do in every situation and never gave me a reason to worry about anything during the entire process. Having to go make a decision to take legal action and find the right lawyer was a very scary and intimidating process for me.
