A little over 20 years ago I was involved in an incident that required legal expertise. I spoke with a few different attorneys in the Portland area about my predicament before talking with Mark. I knew I had found the right person when during what was a free consultation my options and a clear go forward strategy was explained to me first over the phone, followed by an in office consult. Mark successfully negotiated an outcome which was very favorable, always taking into consideration my wishes. One of the key factors of that agreement was the ability to have my record clear in the future so approximately 20 years later I contacted Mark to finally have my record cleared, which he did with no problem. After 20 years we had both become more successful and looked a bit older but one thing that didn’t change was Mark’s dedication to ensuring his clients get the best possible outcome. I don’t plan on needing Mark’s legal expertise again in my life but I absolutely recommend him for anyone unfortunate enough to need a defense attorney.

I am writing this to highly recommend the expert services of Portland, Oregon, attorney Rob Kline and paralegal Rosalie “Rosie” Key. On Jan. 1, 2018, a car door flung open in front of me while I was riding my bicycle on a Portland city street. There’s a verb for this. It’s called “dooring.” I hit the pavement on my left side, breaking my left collarbone and a rib. I cracked two other ribs. For what seemed like the longest time I couldn’t breathe. It was the most pain I’ve ever experienced. An ambulance whisked me to a nearby medical center. I was kept overnight and within a few days my collarbone was surgically repaired. With a six-week recovery ahead as well as an unforeseen medical complication, I set about to find the identity of the driver who’d opened the door in my path. I thought this would be an investigative task that would take one or two days. I put in two days of phone calls and email messages but, for various reasons, yielded no information about the driver’s identity. I did, however, come away from the experience thinking I’d never find that driver on my own. I knew what the driver had done was wrong and was illegal. Having hit a dead end, I thought I should seek the services of an attorney. Only one person came to mind. I’d met Rob Kline nearly two decades ago when we both were enrolled in a backcountry ski class. And I knew he rode his bicycle a lot, having chatted with him at several organized bike rides in the Portland area. However, when I walked into his office in early February 2018 I did not know he was a methodical, dogged attorney who expertly represented his client’s interests. I learned this over time. Rob, along with the essential work of Rosie, tracked down that driver. And they carefully pieced together a case that would not have materialized on its own. When, after more than a year’s work on the case, they presented me with the written narrative that was to be presented to insurance companies for a settlement, I was taken aback. It was an impressive piece of work for its meticulous thoroughness as well as its quality of writing. That document had been preceded by months of contact with the insurance companies after Kline Law Office learned, through persistence, the identity of the driver of that car on Jan. 1, 2018.
