Gregory helped me with a Possessory Lien filed against me for a car that I once owned, but sold. Unfortunately DMV identified me as owner and I was threatened with collections to cover the exorbitantly high costs of towing and storage. He was honest about my chances and also clearly suggested what I could do about the situation. Ultimately, a high level person at DMV in Salem intervened and no longer is there a threat of this hovering over my head. Without this attorney's consult, I would not have handled this situation correctly.

Knows the law, many of the technicalities and what courts tend to value in decision-making. And willing to share. Bottom line -- be sure lease is comprehensive and legal in Oregon or your state, before you sign. Disappointed (nothing to do with Greg) that in Oregon owner-occupied, multiple family dwellings ('rooming house') have limited Tenant protections from Landlord intrusion, unless spelled out correctly in lease. (East Coast a bit more stringent.)

Mr. Abbott is very knowledgeable and provided a free consult that helped me tremendously on an eviction case. I am contacting him again for a small claim as I feel he will provide good legal advice. I would really recommend anyone to him. He is very through and explains everything.

In early Fall of 2015 we had a dispute with a tenant over payment of rent and rat infestation in the crawlspace that was handled very timely. The tenant got a lawyer to send us threatening letters and refused to pay rent which was hugely stressful. I did a bunch of research to find someone who had a lot of experience and skills at handling Landlord/Tenant Law. Greg’s reviews seemed frank and honest and I am very glad we chose him as our attorney. It took a couple of months and the tenant pulled out all the stops in fighting us, but we were able to evict the tenant and get a judgment. Greg was always calm and explained things in detail so we could make educated decisions. His experience with the courts and more importantly with the human element of the conflict in these situations is really invaluable. He gave us good advice and I’m glad we took it. One thing that struck me as a client is that he loves practicing law and loves advocating for his clients. Always a good thing in the lawyer you are hiring! We will definitely use him again if we need an attorney, and we will recommend him to our friends.

Landlord-tenant issues. Greg knew the law. He gave me great advice. He met me after my work hours which was really helpful. While the law in Oregon tends to favor the tenant, Greg kept me on the 'good side' of the law, advised me what and what not to do. I would totally recommend Greg, and would use him again (hopefully I won't have to).

Greg was very thorough and prompt with his response to my legal tenant lanlord law inquiry. He then followed up with a recommendation to my particular situation. For someone to be so generous of their time and expertise for no financial gain says alot to this mans character.
