Our adult granddaughter was hit by a car while on her bike. She incurred horrendous injuries with corresponding medical bills, for which there was little insurance. It was such a relief to be able to turn her case over to Cynthia Newton as an experienced professional, and not have to deal with the liability and financial issues, while we were worrying if our granddaughter would ever recover. Thankfully she made an almost full physical recovery. During the case, Cynthia showed such patience in dealing with a difficult situation and the end result was better than we had been led to expect. Cynthia was always available to answer our questions and concerns and she treated each person in our family with the greatest respect. We also got valuable advice from Scott Sell in their office. We highly recommend Cynthia Newton and her team as personal injury lawyers.

Being hit by a car while cycling was a traumatic experience. Facing the complexity of the medical system and insurance companies while recovering was not a prospect I wanted to face alone. Fortunately, the law firm Thomas, Coon, Newton & Frost was recommended to me and Cynthia Newton agreed to represent me. Her team is outstanding. While it took months to resolve my claim, they were professional, extremely competent, communicative and caring. They are expert with cycling cases.. The positive outcome in my case was due primarily to the knowledge and diligent work of Cynthia Newton and her team. They come highly recommended for good reason.

My father had a horrible accident that almost ended his life. I was stuck in a world that was unknown to me. How do I deal with insurance companies? Hospitals? Interpreting Medical Charts? I googled a few attorneys and the one that stood out to me was Mr. Coon. Mr. Coon has led an admirable career and has helped people like you and me his whole life. I contacted Mr. Coon's office and spoke to a nice lady who scheduled a meeting. After meeting with Mr. Coon he decided to take my father's case. It ended up being one of the best decisions I have ever made.
What is remarkable about the Thomas Coon Newton & Frost team is that they each specialize in their own field. Mr. Coon leveraged the expertise of Mrs. Newton (Who is a remarkably kind, and a killer negotiator.) She made the world of difference within my father's case.
Mr. Coon and Mrs. Newton were the light at the end of the tunnel for my family. This law firm puts their heart and soul regarding the individuals they represent. Mr. Coon and Mrs. Newton got justice for my family. My mother, father and I will forever be grateful for them. Thank you Mr. Coon and Mrs. Newton for representing our family. If I could give you 100 stars I would.
Sincerely,
-The Work Family

Simply put, my experience working with Cynthia could not have been better. She worked on my behalf as a relentless advocate and expert communicator. She's someone you want in your corner.
Throughout my time working with her, she was clear and timely with her communications, and ALWAYS took the time to receive my input and answer questions (I had many).
In the end, I've no doubt in my mind that she did everything she could to represent me to the fullest. I'm so appreciative of her efforts and would look to her again should I ever need representation.

Cynthia and her team took so much time to make me feel like an empowered person after my accident. I must say it was a pleasure to work with her. I wasn't sure how I was going to come back from being hit by a car, but I now feel like I can get back to living my life as an empowered woman. I can't thank them enough.

Cynthia Newton represented me in a personal claim injury. As a pedestrian in a crosswalk in downtown Portland, a car hit me as I was leaving work. An ambulance took me to a Portland hospital. I was unable to walk for almost 4 months due to an ankle fracture and nerve damage. The insurance company of the driver that hit me tried to play hardball and blame it on me – despite the fact their driver was at fault. They harassed me with phone calls and letters. (His insurance company is a well-known, nationwide company that can be quite aggressive to fight.)
At first I tried to deal with them in good faith on my own. When they would not admit fault and insisted their driver was not at fault (despite the fact he hit me in a crosswalk) - I decided I had enough and needed an attorney to help me. I was trying to heal from my injury and couldn’t deal with their aggressive behavior and the stress it was causing me on top of it. I found Cynthia Newton through a referral. I have not been involved in an injury case like this before and had no experience working with an attorney. If you find yourself in a situation like this, trust me, it is in your best interest to work with an attorney like Cynthia.
Cynthia and her team were instrumental in helping me win a settlement. She is a skilled negotiator - very smart and experienced. She negotiated with both his insurance company and mine. I did not need to deal directly with either. Cynthia did. (As it turned out, the driver that hit me was underinsured so Cynthia needed to negotiate with my insurance company as well.) In a situation like this – you are best served working with a skilled negotiator liked Cynthia. My insurance premiums did not go up – which was important to me.
Cynthia has an excellent legal assistant that documented all of the medical expenses I incurred (i.e. medical procedures like MRI), doctor visits and physical therapy. Needless to say, this entailed lots of paperwork and PIP, medical providers, and insurance companies correspondence.) She was on top of every detail. This is important because before settling you want to ensure that all of your expenses have been considered in the settlement. If not, you may be liable for medical expenses after settlement.
Cynthia and her very competent legal staff always kept in close personal contact with me throughout the process of achieving a settlement that I felt was reasonable and fair. The case was settled to my satisfaction before trial due to Cynthia’s expertise and excellent team.

I recommend picking Cynthia Newton to represent you, as she is a highly competent attorney, who is thorough, honest, experienced and easy to communicate with.
I hired Cynthia Newton as a result of the great reputation that her firm, Swanson, Thomas, Coon & Newton, has in Portland, OR. I could not have had a better experience with resolving the claim I had, due to my injury by a motorist while cycling.
Cynthia and her competent legal staff always kept in close personal contact throughout the process of achieving a settlement that was reasonable and fair.
Cynthia diligently pursued all aspects of my claim, interviewing doctors and others to achieve a firm basis for the case that achieved a full settlement without ever entering a courtroom.

If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing legal counsel for an insurance settlement case, take the time to consider Cynthia during your search. I was involved in a bike/car accident and was represented by Cynthia. Her experience, confidence and approachable personality made her distinct from her peers during my search for legal representation.
I had an extensive recovery after my bike accident which eclipsed my life and required my full focus - having Cynthia represent me allowed me to do just that. Furthermore she is flanked by a superb staff whom are affable and highly skilled.
The outcome of the case was as Cynthia predicted, which was due to her stern and learned approach. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Cynthia Newtown helped me with a personal injury claim after I was struck by a motorist while cycling near my home in Portland, Oregon. I hired Cynthia after I interviewed four other lawyers and I was very satisfied with her work.
I chose Cynthia because of her experience with cases like mine and knowledge of how insurers settle these claims. She did an excellent job in our first appointment in managing my expectations for a reasonable claim, explaining what I needed to do, and helping me understand the time involved.
Cynthia also has an excellent legal assistant who handled the hundreds of pages of paperwork I received from insurers and doctors with good cheer and great efficiency. I was very satisfied with how Cynthia represented me and with the settlement I received. I recommend her highly and without hesitation.
