When I brought Brooke on as my attorney I was told by the firm's staff she was a "pitbull in heels" and now I understand why. On my behalf she was direct, assertive and worked hard towards meeting my case's needs. She was also communicative, knowledgeable, and always made sure I was making informed and realistic decisions. Not only was Brooke fantastic, her support team was as well.

I was in an urgent situation and needed representation. I had contact with another lawyer in this firm years ago and she was too busy. After hearing my situation, they recommended Kathy Root. She is a "top lawyer' (most expensive) and I retained her. In hindsight, I should have shopped around, but was new to this experience and was frankly in a panic. I fired Kathy after 5 months and nearly $30,000 spent. She was completely inconsistent, sometimes not responding to emails for several days, even weeks. Follow through was unpredictable and advice was sometimes inaccurate. Significant mistakes were made through the case, and we ended up resolving most of our issues in mediation. My newly hired lawyer is perplexed by some of the work that was done (or not done) and it has taken more money and time to rectify these issues. I now know what it is like to have a true advocate for my situation, something I never felt with Kathy and Gevurtz Menashe.

Sara was great to work with and answered every questions thoughtfully and with our goals in mind. Working with Brooke was a great experience during an otherwise emotionally trying time - she was kind, knowledgeable, efficient and organized, and, perhaps most importantly, I truly felt that she had my back and gave great advice. I came into the process feeling clueless about what to do, and she did a wonderful job of walking me through everything and keeping me well informed. She helped me get what I wanted out of my divorce settlement, including full custody of my child, by being both a guide and an advocate when I needed it most. She was very respectful about being cost effective given that I didn't have endless financial resources to work with, and did a wonderful job of staying on top of my ex's attorney when it became clear that he wasn't good about meeting deadlines, etc., which helped prevent my divorce from dragging on and on. I am grateful that she was the attorney who handled my divorce.

Amy Cross was so awesome at helping us complete our Will and trust and a special needs trust for our son! She was efficient, knowledgable, and friendly. We felt taken care of and she explained things very clear to us so that we understood the process. I would Highly recommend Amy!!

Brooke had to take over my case at the end due to unforeseen circumstances so our work together was short but she made a good impression. I found her very thorough and knowledgeable. She did an excellent job stepping into a complicated case mid stream, the transition was seamless. Very fair with billing and great communication.

Unethical. For adults with kids this is not the firm to use. They use the kids' well-being as leverage in the divorce fight. A Gevurtz attorney has blocked obtaining services that would have protected our kid's mental health for nearly a year now. There are other firms that look out for the kids while capably representing their parents. Kids should not have to suffer more than they already do.

I've worked with the Gevurtz team since 2013. They've been professional, friendly and courageous as we work collaboratively to position their unique offerings in the legal field. I've also worked with the estate planning side of the business and gained valuable service. Highly recommended.
