I hired Jill to review and adjust a draft of a premarital agreement. She was very thorough, responsive, and provided thoughtful insights. Overall I found the billing to be very fair. I would hire her again if anything came up in the future.

I hired a large family law firm to modify my existing parenting plan to address concerns about safety. I was willing to pay higher fees to get the benefit of their combined experience with situations like mine but, more importantly, I needed to quickly address the current concerns and avoid future litigation. 4 months later I left that firm in tears, without my $5,000 retainer, completely confused about the status of my case and with no clear plan forward. I will be forever grateful to Jill and her staff for taking my frantic call, listening to my experience, and meeting with me the next day. Jill came into our first meeting with her laptop (and a box of tissues) and listened. By the time our meeting ended Jill had nailed down the status of my case, taken immediate action to make progress with the court, and recommended a resource that the other firm had never offered. For the first time, I felt like I had a team behind me and a plan for how to move forward. The journey with has not been without challenges though. I am up against an attorney whose bio says she, “prepares for every case as if it were going to trial” in other words… refuses to compromise to run up the legal fees until the other party runs out of money and must settle. On top of that, Covid-19 has repeatedly delayed our trial dates. Even so, I am confident that my case is progressing as well as it could, and I am getting updated as soon as she is. Jill has always left it to me make the decision to go forward or stop and understood that her fees are part of the decision. I had 4 months of invoices from the large law firm to compare to the billings from Jill. The first thing I noticed was that Jill relies on her staff to do the work that doesn’t require her expertise. That way of delegating dramatically cut the total in half without compromising the speed or quality of the work. The invoices are easy to understand and I’ve never questioned an item... which is critically important in my case because it's been delayed so many times. I hope I never need to use Jill or her staff again but, if I do, I’m certain they can make the best of it. They are also a super fun group, and everybody needs more of that.

Over 2.5 years as my counsel during my divorce, Ms. Brittle understood all the issues, was solution based, and overcame some irregular behavior by opposing counsel calmly but with firmness and grit. She is thorough, well prepared, listened to my views, and prevailed on almost 100% of opposing counsel motions. Her clients also benefit from her track record with various judges in Washington and Clackamas County, as she clearly has their respect in the courtroom. I admire how efficient she is with her time, and its reflected in her very reasonable bills given all that's involved. I would very highly recommend her to anyone needing Family Law services, and I already have referred a couple folks myself.

I was so lucky to find Jill to handle my modification after realizing the many issues with my original judgment. Jill was able to assist me with a strategy, organizing my priorities, and fought hard every step of the way to create a better custody situation for my family. Jill is quick on her feet, and takes a firm stance with opposing attorneys. Jill was also willing to be firm with me when necessary, helping me to understand the best way forward in a really difficult situation. I could not recommend Jill more as your advocate in a custody situation.

Jill has been my attorney for a number of years through a very difficult custody matter, and I cannot imagine navigating through this process without her as my attorney. She has fought diligently for me and my son and continues to impress me with her vast knowledge of the law. Her staff is responsive and helpful. The legal system is not something I am familiar with and it is easy to be overwhelmed and feel lost; however, I have not experienced any of this with Jill as my attorney as she involves me with everything and explains anything I do not understand. She is compassionate and zealously advocates for her clients! I would highly recommend hiring Jill!

Jill is a great lawyer because she gives great advice. She is supportive of her clients, but knows when to tell you you are being unrealistic. She won’t waste your money playing the back and forth game that lawyers frequently do. I’m glad I hired her, but I wish I would have hired her the first time I went to custody court - not the third. Don’t make the mistake I made on trying to save a little money. Hire the best first.

We highly recommend Jill Brittle. Jill helped my husband and me (as my husband’s power of attorney) navigate through over 4 difficult years of an incredibly acrimonious and lengthy divorce trial and subsequent multiple motions against my disabled husband by his ex-wife. I am so grateful to have had her on our side and by our side. Thanks to Jill, we are currently NOT in litigation and are now going on a year without further harassment. This is due to the detailed nature of the final judgment that she crafted with us and that she was able to get approved by the court. Jill’s skills in the courtroom were always professional and to the point (we were in the courtroom 6 separate times). We feel so fortunate to have had Jill’s support and expertise over the years.

If you need a lawyer who keeping asking the same thing over and over to drain your retainer or make up bills then hire Jill. If you need a lawyer will IM through her computer during court then hire Jill. If you need a lawyer IM her husband during trail to prepare for her daughter birthday then hire Jill. You need a lawyer who does not care and will take a vacation a week before your trail then hire Jill. You need a lawyer who cares about money more than the quality of the job or people's life then hire jill. I would rather to hire an experience lawyer who honest and knows what to do instead of wasting thousands of dollars of my money and damage my case later like Jill did. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM.

After being badly burned by another lawyer, I came to Adam and Jill hurt and angry. They were quick to respond and were amazing at trying to fix what the other lawyer had screwed up for me.
