The title says it all.... This guy was unresponsive to e-mails, and calls, was highly disorganized, did not show up for meetings (2-3 times minimum) and I think hurt my case. You can do so much better. I'm guessing one would be better off with a second year law student.

This guy charges like a wounded rhino. There's always an excuse for why he didn't get ahold of you or return calls. He works as though he works for the insurance companies instead of the client. He will not help you. For what he did for me, the workers compensation board could have done for free. He charged me $10,000! Which is the max allowed for my case.

This lawyer has very poor communication skills and was not forthright in keeping me informed of all the possibilities available to me. He was often disorganized and lacked direction. I would encourage all to view the Oregon State Bar web site regarding disinplinary actions before hiring.

I have never had to deal with a workers comp case lawyer until James Dodge, so i dont know if this is just how it works. I could not get phone calls returned for months after about 50 messages and 6 months later i finally got a response. He showed up late to court, couldn't confirm any facts b/c he had not reviewed the info. then at the deposition, he couldnt remember anything that was said in court. in all honesty i believe he hurt my case more that anything. i feel as though he was no benefit whatsoever!!! after about 2 years of ongoing frustration i give up. i received a letter that said i had 3 days to call and confirm surrender and i left 6 messages and 2 weeks later i quit!!! i cant believe how awful this situation got.

Jim has helped us with some very tough and ongoing workers comp, personal injury and Social Security issues. My husband and I are very happy that we found his practice once again, (a few years after another attorney lied to us regarding Mr Dodge not being in business any more) for that we will be forever thankful. His practice as a whole is terrific and we will not go anywhere else as long as he is still available. He is a down to earth attorney and is not in the least bit arrogant and is not afraid to let you know that his family is a very importand part of his life. In one word I would say he is magnificent!!!!!! Thanks once again to everyone in his practice, we couldn't get through this without you. Pat and Diane
