The attorney I had was more worried about money then helping with my case. Did not do what I had asked, hard to get a response. Was a very difficult rare matter and just showed no interest in my case. Wish they would of told me up front they weren't use to dealing with an issue like mine. Wasted so much money before even stepping foot in the court room.

When I finally knew that divorce was unavoidable, I knew from other experiences with my now ex-wife that she was going to try her best to work me out of my children’s lives. I hired Paul Saucy because he had a reputation for being the best divorce attorney in the state. He really lived up to his reputation! He has 40 years of experience and it showed. He knew the law better than the three other lawyers who at various times represented her and even very clearly better than the trial judge. Paul’s arguments and evidence at trial were concise and to the point whereas the opposing lawyer wanted to argue everything, even about things that were not relevant factors in our custody battle. Paul told me early on “you will get custody” and that is what he delivered. He gave me advice on how to most effectively express my concerns as we went through an extensive custody evaluation by a third party that delivered a result that was favorable to me despite the fact that my now ex was the one who ordered the study. I have friends who went through divorce and have told me they felt like their lawyer was always wanting to compromise and they did not feel like their lawyer was willing to fight for what they thought was fair and right. I really felt like Paul fought for me. Paul is expensive but I also felt like Paul was very conscious about how he spent my money. He has more cases coming to him than he has the time to accept, and for that reason he does not need to do a lot of unnecessary back and forth just to use up his client’s money. He also has a standard that has to be met . . . “I won’t take your case unless I like you.” This made me feel like a person rather than just a client. Paul was compassionate and truly did care about getting the best outcome for my children and I. If you are in need of lawyer to get you through your divorce, you can not do better than Paul Saucy.

Don't even bother calling if you can't reach their fees. I was awarded attorney fees to finish with my divorce. The so called rude woman who I guess decided to answer the phone when I called back the second time because no one answers calls there. Not only was she rude she thought insulting me would be better! "Oh I thought you weren't expecting a phone call back because $3000. does not begin to come close for what you'll need honey!" I guess divorce must be going great! Keep capitalizing on others anguish. I was also referred! Which tells me what great friends you must have been! I will start teaching these women how to stand up against all you narcissistic men thinking we are dumb. I have already finished most of my paperwork and I probably asked for more then you ever thought in my response to the petitioners idiot attorneys. Thanks for your judgement!!

After 36 years of marriage, I signed a Separation Agreement written by my wife's attorney without the benefit of having an attorney of my own. It appeared to cover a list of requirements that I wanted, but it was what wasn't covered that presented problems. I signed the house over to her and gave her two years to pay me my half of the equity, $150.000.00. I didn't ask for a Promissory Note, interest on the money or list enough specifics about what would happen if she defaulted on the payment. Shannon Snow is the Best Attorney in Salem Oregon. In 2016 I found myself in a Divorce after a short term marriage.
