Amazing team - cant say thank you enough!

Paid a ton of money to get the worst possible outcome for child custody. Told me to give them full custody and focus on parenting time. Went with it. Didn’t get more parenting time at all. 2 weekends a month….. Told me we can pursue in court, but it would be thousands more. What a joke.

DO NOT RETAIN THEM. They put on a good "act" but they will drag the process out as they continue to charge you. As well as pass you around between the lawyers, ask for paperwork and information multiple times, and in the end send you to court with an unprepared lawyer in training who will fumble your case completely. The result being losing on all points as well as having to pay. STAY AWAY.

I HIGHLY recommend Sherwood Family Law - & most especially Dan & Katie, when going through a difficult divorce & custody battle. After years of games & bullying by my ex husband (most often using my child to torture me), I finally felt like I had real help. Right away Katie & Dan made me feel protected & supported. They are both incredibly knowledgeable & intelligent & advised me with compassion & expertise in every step of this process. My ex husband had an attorney who definitely had an aggressive & less professional approach, often making attempts to engage in unnecessary dialogue with my attorneys, even disparaging me at times. Dan & Katie did not engage in conversations that were not constructive & relevant to my case, as they were very mindful not to cause me more financial strain with unnecessary costs. This was an expensive process & I absolutely knew that going in. I did not choose “cheap” attorneys because I firmly believe you get what you pay for & that was not a risk I was willing to take when it came to my child. Dan & Katie were worth every penny. Dan is a straight shooter, he will give you a clear picture of potential outcomes, even telling you what you don’t want to hear at times, but need to. Katie is compassionate & assertive & always made me feel understood & supported. Both have excellent strategy & know how to handle complications & unexpected situations that arise with professionalism & care. I am so grateful to have been represented by Dan & Katie with Sherwood Family Law & for their expert guidance in helping me navigate this often traumatic experience in my life.

WARNING: I almost lost my child due to Sherwood Family Law's prejudicial response time and unwillingness to communicate in a standardized manor with other professionals assisting with my case. To the point that I was professionally advised their actions or lack there of were putting my case at serious risk of losing my child. I'm not here to rant, just to send notice that if I continued with Sherwood Family Law I would have most likely lost complete custody of my child. Luckily, I found a more competent family attorney in Beaverton who had the abilities and knowledge with false allegations and child kidnapping. Use Sherwood Family Law at your own risk.

While the firm was easy to work with, polite, understanding & very on point with everything, I feel as if I was nickle & dimed. I don't have exact estimate on cost, but I was roughly $11,000 into fees for my case, I had stated in the very beginning I want to go after attorney fees as well on my custody case, the firm new this, now that the case is over they stated it would be a additional $2,000 to help me with this process (even though this was mentioned before trial) otherwise I can file myself, which is great but I don't have a clue how to do this process & I had stated I needed there assistance in the very beginning, so now I am stuck with zero assistance from the firm unless I want to pay them a additional $2,000 for something I stated I wanted in the begining of all this. If they had assisted me with this as I had requested in the start I may have gave them 5 stars.

I could not be happier with the service I received from Dan and the entire staff at Sherwood Family Law. They helped me navigate the most difficult process of my life and made me feel like I was the only client they were working with. THANK YOU!!

Daniel Strausbaugh did a great job on my divorce. He was experienced and efficient in all matters. He significantly exceeded my expectations.

Would not recommend this firm unless you do not want to be listened to, or given advice AT ALL. ESPECIALLY MEGAN PAUL. They’re great for basic matters but do not trust them to fight for your rights when it comes to complicated family law. They will not. They will leave you worse than they found you, yet without money for another lawyer. 0/10 absolutely horrible.
