I never thought I would ever face a time where I would need a lawyer. I made a mistake and it landed me with my first DUI. With a little past history, the fear that I would not get accepted into the ARD program grew on me day by day. You hear stories and speculation from everyone but what I needed were facts and someone to listen. Kevin gave me the truth good and bad when I called him and I knew instantly I wanted him to represent me no matter the cost. When Kevin arrived on the day of court, right away he made me feel like I was not alone. Out of ALL the lawyers present in that courtroom with their client, Kevin was the ONLY one to actually sit with his client in the benches. That says a lot about a person and that made all the difference in the world to me. I was facing a first DUI in PA, but considering the circumstances involved in the incident and past legal history from another state, I decided to hire an attorney to ensure that I get ARD and even possibly fight the case with mitigating factors. When looking for a lawyer, I wanted someone who didn't come from those big law firms that mail out annoying advertisements involving a legal case. I also needed a lawyer that was very familiar with the particular localities of Lehigh County and was based in the jurisdiction that I got in trouble in. Kevin fit all of those requirements. When I went in for the initial consultation, I expected it to be a quick decision on whether to do ARD or challenge the charges. After explaining my situation to him, Kevin was blunt and did not sugarcoat the potential penalties I could face. I did fall into a depression for a couple days after hearing the potential bad outcomes if my legal history came to light, but I'm glad he was honest with everything and presented the options without pushing in either direction. At the end of the consultation, we agreed that ARD would be the way to go and if it got denied, the charges would be fought. During the case, Kevin was excellent. He was very helpful with all the questions I had and responded within one business day at the latest. Since he is a former prosecutor, he gets along with everyone on the law enforcement side, but knows the games they try to play, if they did. I consider the fee charged for this particular case to be fair. Some lawyers can charge a lot more and not do as great of a job and others may charge less, but their quality of work will be crap. I was charged with felony firearm charge as well as a DUI charge and due to Kevin's strategic planning and handling of my particular situation I was able to get the firearm charge expunged and got approved for the ARD PROGRAM, which for defendants with a firearm charge is an automatic denial of ARD. He went out of his way to make personal phone calls to the DA, took time to write a letter explaining my situation and always kept in touch with me keeping me up to date on what was going on. Now I can proudly say I have another chance at life in regards to my future and Kevin is a big reason for this becoming possible.
