We had the pleasure of being represented by Dan. I cannot give more stars or I would. Dan is a wonderful educational attorney who is knowledgeable, responsive and genuine. He listened to us when our district wouldn’t, he gave us the voice that we needed. We tried for years to navigate the special education system and work with school teams. Every time we had a concern, the district strong armed us into their way with tactics like-take it or leave it, you can’t have that, we don’t do that here. Dan helped our no’s change to yes. Dan was invested in our child, not just as a case but as a person. We talked about what was best for THEM, discussed all options and developed a plan. I have a SPECIAL needs son who requires a lot of supervision around the clock, medically complex, with a lot of behavioral issues from being autistic with Down syndrome. He was in public school where the school was calling me everyday to come pick him up because they were unable to fit his needs. I asked the school for a alternative school that could be best for all his needs the school had me go see another school was promised & accepted into the new school after all that the school district had backed out I was so lost & confused why they would do that. I heard about Dan Cooper I spoke to Dan he took on our case. In no time the school than made sure he was going to the school that had excepted him. Dan is the best lawyer who fought for my child for a better education where now my son is mastering goals , happy to go, & not getting any calls to pick him up. Kim Bourassa is a brilliant attorney to be reckoned with! Although it may not be appropriate (but it is true) Kim is a real bad ass! She really fought for my son and stood her ground and because of her attention to detail and knowledge an entire special needs program was created at Frederick Douglass Elementary school for my son to start his first grade year!
