i am a cabinetmaker. two years ago i developed heart problems and it became impossible to finish work on several projects that i had going. i had to return the deposits and also lost any future income for several months. it became impossible to pay my credit card bill. i reached out to the company to ask for an three month moratorium of payments and was promptly refused. several more attempts were made, but still my efforts were rejected. i lost all patience and decided to ignore any communication with the company. so, two years later, i receive a notice from the local magistrate that the company was seeking a judgement against me for the full amount and that if i did not respond by a specific date, i would be immediately liable for the full amount. it was the beginning of the Covid plague, and everything was very difficult. i contacted an attorney, Dan DeLiberty, and he assured me that he would not let that happen, even in the midst of all of the turmoil. he explained in clear details exactly what i could expect to happen as time went on. that he would seek a few delays because of the virus impact on the courts and would begin a dialog with the opposing attorney representing the credit card. he responded to all of my requests for information in a timely manner, and offered me reassurances at every step. and when the final judgement date came close he informed me that he had been able to make a settlement with the card company that was just over half of what the total amount had been. he was very careful explaining to me how the settlement worked and the bookkeeping records that i should keep in dealing with the company. i was very impressed by his diligence and willingness to go the extra distance for me. i highly recommend the DeLiberty Law Firm. he truly is a Credit Lawyer in all ways.
