Shawn helped me on 2 cases and I was very happy with the deal he was able to negotiate. He obviously does not shy away from litigation and will go to trial but will also tell you when a plea deal is in your best interest. Would recommend to anyone in need of legal defense.

I had a very complicated, potentially criminal case that started with a custody dispute. The challenges were multiple and sometimes appeared insurmountable. Shawn’s slow but steady guidance through the process led to complete exoneration. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Attorney Stottlemeyer took our case at the 11th hour, after listening to a desperate message I’d left with his office. Our custody case had been extremely complicated, beginning in Perry County and continuing for almost 8 years with an highly combative ex-spouse. This Attorney Agreed to defend me in Franklin County on a criminal matter for $2000 flat. As soon as he got the $2000 He did nothing in my defense. I asked him multiple times for a fee agreement but was never given one to sign. Later I got bills to me for $2900.00 For nothing he did. Stay away from this lawyer!

Not sure where to start.... I was a hot mess when I left a custody hearing and walked into the offices of Mooney and Associates. I balled my eyes out to the receptionist Wendy about my predicament of my child’s father wanting to court for full custody. Attorney Stottlemyer was standing there the whole time listening quietly. When I was done sobbing he said “ma’am I can help you, come into my office so we can talk more.” He was so genuine and helpful and agreed we had to act fast to get jurisdiction changed from Pa to Va where my son and I moved to. He acted fast and kept in constant contact with me about the progress of everything. He fought hard to win my case. He researched other successful cases like mine and referred the courts to review them like he had and within 4 short months he won my jurisdiction case! If you are on the fence about a lawyer, look no further! Shawn is awesome and he truly cares and will fight hard and long for you.
