I hired this firm because my former Public Defender now works for them. He had represented my husband several times over the years and he had also represented me, and we were always very impressed with him and felt as though he went above and beyond. However, we found this experience to be upsetting and quite disappointing. We paid about the $2,500. We were both told that our attorney was going to do certain things or try to make certain things happen, and none of them did. At my preliminary hearing, I ended pleading guilty to two charges. At least one of them should have been dropped, which I was told by my attorney. The hearing was over video so I didn’t witness any of the interaction between my attorney and the judge, but I’m going to assume that my attorney didn’t attempt to see if either charge could be dropped. My attorney was also pretty adamant that if I paid off my $9,200 docket that the judge would close my case, therefore taking me off of probation. My husband and I were obviously extremely hesitant, as there was no guarantee that the judge would do that, and he insisted that we pay before my hearing. We asked him multiple times if we could maybe pay half of it and then pay the rest when I saw the judge. He kept insisting that the ENTIRE thing be paid off, and was very insistent. So, we paid it the day before I had court. At court, my attorney barely spoke. The judge did NOT close my case. And my lawyer said nothing. We had also discussed other things that I wanted to be brought up in court if my case wasn’t closed. He brought up none of it. Part of my retainer, and listed in my fee agreement were two petitions that were never done. I still have about $500 left on my retainer, and when my husband asked about doing one of the petitions at a later time, he was told that the $500 might not be enough. FOR A PETITION. I was charged $27 for a text message. I would like to state that I hired him for a revocation hearing. I paid a $2,200 retainer plus a $275 consultation fee. When we hired an attorney earlier this year for my husbands revocation , we paid $1,000 flat for the hearing, and $200 for a petition. We were never charged for a text message, a phone call, or an email. We basically just wasted $10,000. Also, I was arrested about a week after my court hearing. I still had $500 on my retainer, and could have paid more if necessary. My husband reached out to our attorney and his response was that it was “sad”. And we haven’t heard from him since. I got out of jail without his help, but to say that we are disappointed and somewhat disgusted is a gross understatement. We’d also like our $10,000 back. My cat could have represented me and I would have had the same outcome..: and saved $10,000.

As an analyst, I recently had the need to review a personal contract. Found Abom & Kutilakis in some Google look ups and the firm in general is very well rated. Corey however had only 5 Star rating on the AVVO site, upon our consultation he proved why he had said ratings. He was extremely thoughtful in his analysts and explanations of areas of concern inregard to how law could be applied. His knowledge of contract law is extremely deep. He stands on rock solid foundations of integrity and honesty that make him a solid contract attorney that will give you a honest analysis. I'm sure his ability to write air tight contracts is just as good. Defiantly on my first to got to list in the future and I will explore using Christine based on this experience with the firm, for Family law needs.
Thank you Corey J. Adamson, it truly was a pleasure working with you.

Don't go here, too expensive. They charged me $10,000 for something years ago that should have charged me 2,000. Glossy advertising means they need to advertise to stay in business.

Highly recommend this firm, especially Amy Owen. As a lesbian couple, my wife and I searched for a LGBT friendly attorney who would help us with all legal matters pertaining to having a child, Amy was recommended, was highly regarded, and did not disappoint. If you are looking for a quick, efficient and honest person to handle your business, look no further!

This firm cost me my life savings in a custody and divorce case. When I explained to Jay Abom and my lawyer, Michele, that it would be difficult to make up those payments, I was told they wouldn’t abandon me and would still be my representation. Fast forward a few weeks to when the ex started to make unfounded allegations and I call my lawyer asking for help with that representation. Guess what the response was? “Pay up your bill and give us another $5,000 retainer.”
10/10 sleaziest and unscrupulous business I’ve ever dealt with
