Founding ourselves in need of an attorney for an adult daughter with special needs seemed overwhelming at the start. Stephanie took all the time we needed to understand the directions we could proceed in. Once our course was charted she explained each step. She kept us informed and answered our many questions. The office staff was friendly and helpful as well.

Attorney Cesare helped me with a complex custody case against another family member. There were various factors to this case including my out of state location, involvement of social services with the other family member, and the fact that I was requesting legal custody over children who were not mine. Attorney Cesare was meticulous in her research and filings, had clear communication with me, excellent when we went to a hearing, and calm, professional, and knowledgeable in our mediation with my family. I highly recommend her.

So back in 2018 I was a drug addict. My addiction led me to committing multiple felonies while I was already on probation. Long story short, I could have lost a lot of time in my life. But Stephanie fought for me the whole way. She helped me address my drug addiction to the courts and got me the help I needed. Because of her, I got the programs I needed to help change my life. (Other lawyers I had before her that were 5 minutes from the jail wouldn’t even drive out). Needless to say, I would recommend Stephanie to anyone who needs a lawyer who actually cares about her clients and will fight for them!

I retained Ms. Cesare on the advice of a friend after another attorney failed me in ways I could not previously imagine. My previous attorney had kicked the can down the road for about a year and gotten me into a bigger mess than what I had initially hired her to represent me against. Within just a few weeks, Stephanie cleaned up the mess the other attorney had made and expertly represented me. Stephanie was always available when I needed her and did an excellent job of explaining things in a way that I understood. Perhaps most importantly, she listened to me, endeavored to understand the uniqueness (perceived or real) of my situation, and then explained my options in a way I could understand, and then let/made me decide on the course of action I thought was best for me prior to making any major moves. Stephanie knows the players within the corrupt and bias Cumberland County, PA, Criminally Unjust System, and is conveniently located to coordinate with them as required (yet another thing that my previous attorney failed miserably at). Though my contact with other attorneys at Abom and Kutulakis was limited, it is apparent that it is well run and that the “support staff” does an excellent job of taking care of both their attorneys and their clients. My experience with attorneys is thankfully limited, but I give Ms. Stephanie Cesare my strongest recommendation. INFO I FEEL I NEED TO INCLUDE: No matter who you choose to hire, I strongly recommend that you do your homework and make use of free initial consults to ensure that whoever you choose is a good fit for you. I was shocked by my whole situation, had far too much faith in the system, and did not make good use of these initial consults. It is unlikely that you will find an attorney with a history of founded ethical violations since this is a case of attorneys policing their own (something they just don’t do), but I encourage you to check anyway. Lastly, set realistic expectations. It isn’t like on TV—rest assured that attorneys are not going to call out their own. It is a cult, and non-attorneys are on the outside looking in—even though your life and livelihood may depend on it.
