Josh Camson is a wonderful attorney who isn’t afraid of a challenge. I found Josh doing a google search when trying to have my name expunged from the child line registry in PA. I incorrectly and unfairly was indicated as perpetrator in 2007 . I was very young and afraid to fight back because of the fear of losing my son. I thought that if Bucks county children and youth would indicate me when I clearly did nothing wrong after the other person admitted that my son was in their care that they would certainly not hesitate to do so. After calling many attorneys who specialize in this I began to loose hope because they all declined to take my case or did not call back at all. Josh called me personally and spent about a half hour discussing what I was trying to do, and the history involving this incident . I also had a timeline for when this needed to be done by (02/01/2020). Mr. Camson was empathetic , understanding , and confident he could help me and decided to take my case. I am so glad I found Josh on google. He was prompt replying via email, when I had an urgent issue he would call me back immediately. I was very anxious about this whole process and worried I would not have my clearance in time for my deadline. It is with great happiness and gratitude that I express how happy I am with all Mr. Camson did for my family and I. My hearing was yesterday 01/31/2020, he was on time , well prepared as we prepped the day before via phone , but most importantly , Josh helped me WIN MY CASE! I will recommend him to anyone in this predicament . Josh Camson is your best chance at receiving a fair hearing and trial with Child Line in regards to having your name expunged , not only did he fight good cause but he also proved to the court that this case was incorrectly investigated and came to an incorrect conclusion which enabled my name to be removed from the registry effective immediately. I requested my new clearance online last night and was able to view it the same day because of how Josh pushed the importance of this. Thank you SO MUCH, I will eternally be grateful for how you helped my family move forward.

My husband was facing extremely serious charges. We knew that if my husband was convicted of these charges it would devastate our family and change his life forever. We chose Mr. Camson to represent my husband initially because of his compassion and attentiveness to our case. But his ability to control a court room blew us away. He is confident without being arrogant. He is intelligent, but explains the law in a way so his client and others can understand everything. He can truly make people see things from his perspective. Mr. Camson answered every question we had with patience. During the trial it was made clear that he has excellent jury appeal. When he spoke they listened with intent. If you want results, hire this extraordinary attorney! We cannot thank Josh enough for that “Not Guilty”!

Josh represented my son during a very difficult time in our lives.... he was the only one we encountered that treated all of us with dignity and respect and he realized my son made a mistake and that mistake did not define the kind of person and man he has become. I would absolutely recommend him.

I needed a lawyer, but I didn't have a lot of money. I'm a private person but one employee found out that I had a serious health issue and started threatening to get me fired even though I am the best at what I do. Months became years and I had been discriminated at my job for stupid things that everyone else could do without a word. It got to the point that I would get ill before I even left for work because I knew that I would be approached for be singled out Eventually I sought medical help for depression and my family recommended Miss Albright for my case. I had never sought a lawsuit before but I am the prime breadwinner for my family. I did not want to go to court but we entered a case as a last resort. Before our court date, Miss Albright negotiated a resolution which paid my bill and paid for all my doctor bills. But the best thing of all, is that I am still at work at my job which I really enjoy now. There was only one employee who had made it unbearable for me to work there and once the CEO found out what was happening, the employee was fired. Now, it is a pleasure to go to work every day and I didn't even have to go to court. I would fully recommend Melissa for any kind of discriminating lawsuit. She is soft-spoken and kind and compassionate.

Lynn Fleisher helped my husband and me with new wills after the birth of our son. We hadn't realized how much had changed since the first wills were done years ago and Lynn explained all the new things we'd need to take into consideration, not just with our expanded family but with our expanded real estate holdings. She is very intelligent, a good communicator, and reliable. She followed up on everything in a timely manner. She's nice, too!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Collegeville, Pennsylvania?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
