Purchasing and maintaining a property in Italy can be a rewarding, but complex and confusing process. Studio Legale Metta originally assisted my husband and I with the purchase of our holiday property in Ostuni in 2012. They continue annually to process the payment of property taxes on our behalf. I paid him to represent me. But he would not listen or represent mine or my daughters best interest. I would recommend using the free lawyers provided by the county. he was actually more closely working with the defendant in our civil matter. And it has cost my family and daughter. Dearly. I was the plaintiff. And after his involvement. I felt like a defendant. That was not worth the nearly 1000 dollars I spent. To not get the court transcripts. not covered in his fees. Or to not receive a copy of the order he drew up. That represented the defendants wishes WAY more than mine. There's lots of good lawyers.
