I would not recommend hiring this guy. He makes a lot of empty promises and says he has a lot of connections but then cannot deliver. He funnels all communication through a third person and you will not be able to get a hold of him. He does not reply to emails and beyond the initial meet and greet where he takes your money you will not hear from him. He did not do a single thing and the case just sat their collecting dust.

I contacted the law office through a google search after I received a letter from Pendot that my driver's license had been canceled because I fraudulently applied for it. After sending a copy of the letter to the office, William Goldman himself and his associate Brian Schuster were on the phone with my wife and I. Immediately, we knew we had made the best choice. They pounced on the case with passion and genuine sense of urgency to have my case resolved and they explained the strategy and the step by step approach to us. We felt very confident with everything. Within 10 days, an emergency hearing was scheduled for a case that would likely take weeks to months to get a hearing date. I thought we were going to have only Brian in court but I was surprised to see both of them. That was power representation! Most of the work was done even before the hearing with the Pendot prosecutor and I felt at peace with what I was seeing. In conclusion, the Judge issued a letter ( supercedeas) to enable me to drive while they work to completely clear the errors that may have led to the false charges. I can't be more grateful to the Goldman law firm. The whole experience was professional, respectful, and very communicative. He was very funny as well which helped a great deal to make us relaxed and assuring. Look no further if you need help, they're a power house with laser focus and that's what you need to face Pendot.

I could not be more thankful for the representation I received from Goldman Law Offices for my personal injury lawsuit. William Goldman Jr. and Jonathan Riba believed in my case and worked extremely hard to protect my rights and prove my injury. They brought in the most impressive medical experts to provide support and left no stone unturned in proving my case. Mr. Goldman’s knowledge, expertise, dedication and persistent mindset helped secure a positive outcome. I could not speak more highly of the representation I received and would 100% recommend contacting them if you are in need of legal counsel.

Our 18-year-old son had only been driving for approximately five months. One day while driving home from college, he was forced to swerve to avoid hitting an animal in the road and wound up jumping the curb and striking a concrete flower pot. While there was no physical damage to the concrete planter, his front quarter panel was badly damaged and he started losing air in his front tire. Being a new driver and being very scared and upset at what happened, he was looking for a safe place to pull over. Unfortunately, a police officer followed him for several blocks and turned on his lights and stopped him before he could safely pull into a shopping center parking lot. He was charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. When combined, both charges carried a very large fine and enough points for him to lose his driver’s license for six months. Needless to say, we as a family were devastated. He needed his driver’s license to commute back and forth to college and to work and was about to lose it in the blink of an eye. We immediately contacted the Law Offices of William Goldman and explained our situation. They asked us to send copies of the two citations and assured us that they would help us navigate the complex legal system. They sent a letter to the court pleading not guilty on his behalf which allowed us to go on with our life and not have to worry about making any wrong decisions that could negatively affect his ability to defend himself. We were kept in the loop every step of the way up until the day of the trial. It was amazing to see Mr Goldman in action on trial day. He asked all the right questions, and because of his expertise was able to save my son hundreds of dollars in fines and keep him from losing his driver’s license. We really appreciated being treated like “Family” and we will be forever grateful to Mr. Goldman and his staff. Every person in his employ are true professionals who care about the clients they serve. Mr. Goldman is an experienced attorney who will fight for your rights and do everything within the law to protect you and your assets. Don’t settle for less when important legal matters arise. “Experience does matter”, which is why you should call the Law Offices of William Goldman and let him protect your family like he protected our family.

Peter was able to take a difficult family situation and make it a pleasurable experience. I took my parents to him for Estate Planning. They were apprehensive and anxious about the process. Peter was able to put them at ease and handled my family with the skill of a family counselor. Our entire family felt like we were in good hands. Peter's professionalism, knowledge of the law and warm personality made our experience stress free. I would highly recommend Peter Reiss to anyone in need of a great "Estate Planning" lawyer.

I cannot recommend Jackie enough! She made what could have been a stressful process feel seamless and easy for me. After many failed attempts with a previous attorney, I was referred to Jackie and am so happy she took me as a client. Not only was she incredibly professional, but her deep knowledge and expertise were evident in every step. She always had the perfect advice and her confident approach led to me winning full custody of my child as well as withheld support . On top of that, she was easy to communicate with and made me feel confident and supported the entire time. If you’re looking for an attorney who is both personable, professional and amazing in the courtroom hire her!

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Doylestown, Pennsylvania?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
