Divorce and custody cases can be, and are, the worst places to be in life. After some terrible representation, Attorney Ken Bickel was recommended to me as the guy to hire to help me finalize my divorce and reach a custody agreement. Ken was and has been a no nonsense advocate for my needs. He listened to what I wanted and he went out and helped get me there. Ken was always available to answer questions, explain strategies and he treated me with respect and professionalism. Ken knows the law and he knew my case backwards and forwards. If no stars was an option that is what I would select. My expectations for a good attorney were low so meeting them should have been a breeze. Do the bare minimum and return our calls or emails, and we are happy. We would leave literally dozens of messages over the course of several weeks and never hear back, emails went months without being returned. His office/he was prompt to cash our checks though. Everyone wants a laid back attorney, until that laid back attitude leaves you at court alone unattended, with no clue what to do because the attorney you paid does not even bother to get back to you.
