Hands down one of the best lawyers. Hackwelder did everything that he said he would do to get me where I am at now. I was facing some heavy charges. He was always there when I had any kind of concern. Always knew how to calm me in my not too sure state of mind. It was a long 2 years going through the process but with Hackwelder by my side made it so much easier. For anyone looking for a lawyer definitely hands down recommend Hackwelder you won't be disappointed

Attorney Hackwelder had me do all the legwork for my hearing. Then at the hearing told me to just accept the charges. When I refused he negotiated with the other attorney and said he got my punishment decreased. When I received the actual punishment, it was nothing like he told me and what I agreed to. He wouldn’t help me fix his mistake and dodged my calls from that point forward. He has no ethics whatsoever. Avoid him at all costs.

I hired attorney Hackwelder for a child custody case. It was an ongoing battle for 3 years and Eric stood in my corner from day one. He was attentive, detailed, and so patient with all of my questions. He always got back to me in a timely manner, always fought for what I wanted, and never settled for less. He never gave up on me or my kids despite all the struggles, complications, and tears I brought to the plate along with my case. Attorney Hackwelder is in my eyes the sole reason I won custody. I hired Eric Hackwelder and Steve Seabald for my second and third DUI in 10yrs! for my second after refusing the blood test which throws a person in to the highest bracket they got it down to General impairment which the Judge could only give me 6months total sentence with probation ! I got 3 months work release 3 months probation ! for my third which carries a minimum of 1yr incarceration and 5yrs probation I got 10 days incarceration which was time served csuse of my 3 months work release and 1yr probation !! how they did it ill never know. I'm still in awe! These two are top lawyers in pa if not the nation !!

Mr. Hackwelder and Mr. Sebald both worked very diligently to a resolution of a very serious case. My son was accused of a crime that would have cost him his freedom and caused irreparable harm to his reputation and his family unit. A conviction would have led to certain alienation of his rights as a father. My son, a provider and a family man was accused by a third party with an obvious agenda. Both Hackwelder and Sebald did exactly as the indicated at our first meeting. They said that this case would end up dismissed and it was. They were able to successfully demonstrate to the district attorney that there was no way that this case would be successfully prosecuted because of the lack of evidence, improper conduct and the overt agenda of the accusing party. I would not hesitate to ask Eric Hackwelder or Stephen Sebald to represent my loved ones again and you definitely shouldn't look any further.

I hired Eric for someone who was facing serious felony charges. He is fairly young man with a young child who he absolutely adores. He had made mistakes and I didn't feel he needed to go to jail and be separated from that child. Eric was extremely helpful and actually you could tell that he took this case personally because of all of the time and effort he put into the case. He was always available to us and his family. When it came time for the sentencing we all thought he was going to jail. When the judge sentenced him to 3 years parole we were all extremely happy. I can not say enough good things to say about Eric.

I have many good things to say about Mr. Hackwelder and his team. From the beginning he came to our aid last minute and were good at keeping open lines of communication with me and my family. They worked on our case up to the last possible moment and even met with me on weekends. He answered all my questions throughout the whole process, was polite and did not waste time. The case was an extremely hard one, and the legal system was a bear to work with, but Mr. Hackwelder showed up every time with lots of energy and a positive attitude. He never promised what could not be done, but our results were extremely positive, in part to his hard work and constant attention to important details. I highly recommend him and his team.
