Like a lot of people, I was scared about working with a lawyer, but this firm is incredible! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the contracts for fees are straightforward (no legal jargon that only the attorney could understand). I worked with Attorney Barnett, and he was incredibly professional, and helped me understand the whole process of disability. If you have any hesitations, you can safely set them aside for this firm!

Attorney Lager is the absolute best lawyer. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I have been fighting disability for 5 years now. I was going it alone because I just kept getting rejected. With only a few weeks before my hearing, Attorney Lager took on my case. When we sat down together, he listened, he was compassionate, kind, funny, too. But, mostly, he believed in me. He will believe in you, and fight for you. He was amazing in my hearing and won a dam* near impossible case. He has changed my life. Seriously. I recommend him to everyone.

Without a doubt Attorney Lager has been a godsend and well worth skipping the exhaustive lawyer search. If you need a SSDI/SSI advocate you needn't waste time and energy looking around. Unparalleled competence in his field and extensive knowledge of Social Security law was immediately apparent at our initial meeting; and that observation was reinforced during preparation/handling, during and even after resolution of my case. He has a very reassuring demeanor and can quickly put you at ease with his manner, wit, and most importantly, his Social Security legal knowledge. He is confident in his ability but not cocky. He will be completely straightforward with you about your case and of the chances for successful outcomes, at least as close as any attorney could be. Prior to meeting Attorney Lager there were many lows (and many, many more years) maneuvering through my ssdi/ssa case, having a few different attorneys. After multiple SSA denials and losses in ALJ court I started just looking at websites, going down a list and calling new attorneys hoping to find one that works on federal appeals but being paid after successful resolution. Call after call, I was being turned down and left with little hope, even trying the large "well known" firms. I had no other options so I just had to push on, exhaustively searching for someone to represent me in a last ditch federal appeal. When I began thinking I was completely out of luck I stumbled onto the number of this firm: Bernard Stuczynski Barnett & Lager. Even though it took a few years Attorney Lager skillfully and successfully litigated on my behalf. There might be other great attorneys out there but I doubt there are many with all of the requisite qualifications: the unrivaled skill, tenacity and compassion of this litigator for his clients. I thought I'd never find one, nor do I think I could have ever found better. The office staff is also very professional, helpful and courteous, and I'm sure they put in their hours prepping client's cases for the attorneys and creating a smooth running office. Excellent Customer Service!

Attorney Conti is a great man and I realize we are still in a pandemic however I will say if you enjoy historic preservation the office is a gem , it has been updated to wheelchair Accesible but other than that it retains the warm old wood with a few more modern styles in conference room . Very charming building , it reminded me of my grandmothers house in Yonkers NY with the gentle creaking and slight give of the wood floor as you walked or rolled same feeling as Tipsy bean on Peach. I will have to take some pictures next time I am there .
