Amazing Dream Team! Brett Kaminsky & Derek Layser. I was debating on waiting to write this review until I was completely done working with them, but I had to share my thoughts in hopes that they reach someone else who is trying to make a decision when choosing a law firm. Before contacting Friedman Schuman, I had spoken to at least 5 other firms. The initial "intake" from the firms consisted of them collecting a breakdown of what I was looking for in terms of legal assistance. Not actually speaking with an attorney, only with their office staff (which I understand that some attorneys may not always have the time). That was not the case with Brett. I received my first phone call from Friedman Schuman on the same day of my inquiry. The phone call wasn't from someone in their office, it was from Brett himself. He personally took the time to listen to all the information I could give him, explain my reasoning for wanting legal help, and understanding what I was going through. I have already asked so many questions and have never once felt like a burden based on his responses. He truly took the time to explain things to me, provide me with next steps and estimated time frames, and was always sure to make me feel like my comments, questions, and concerns were truly important. Friedman Schuman will forever be my first suggestion for anyone who may ever ask me if I know of an attorney... My father went to the hospital for constipation when he got there. They said he had a stroke or a heart attack a few days prior. When he was in there a week later, he told the nurse she was having chest pains and she gave him morphine that night, he had a heart attack and passed and if that’s not worse and off during my father’s funeral, my grandma passed his mother so I reached out to Freeman and schuman to see if they would take on my father’s malpractice case back in July 2022 they sent me some paperwork to sign I signed it and sent it back Immediately They said they would be in contact with me, to let me know if they would take the case. We haven’t heard nothing back in months. So I decided to try and call didn’t hear nothing back I sent several emails they did not respond so I called today January 3, 2022 and the receptionist that answer the phone was so rude and unprofessional so if you’re thinking about using them for an attorney, I would like otherwise
