My experiences with Scaringi Is Law have been very supportive and uplifting at times of unknowing, stress, uncertainty. Ive always been treated with respect from every staff member! Consistency, stability, dependability! We all know that there is no guarantees in life...not really, a toaster has 30 days and on the 31st day it doesnt work....right??? Hhaa Scaringi Law has been the 30 day warranty that hasn't ended. Let me explain, when ever I called Melissa or Laura at the front desk, they were and are there for me every day the Firm is opened. These Front Desk Warriors are super awesome and kind! Then there is the personal Team that is solely dedicated to ensure my Case is taking top priority. Actually every case is Top Priority!! (They make me feel like my Case is the only case!) No matter who in Scaringi Law had been assigned to work with me on my Case had shined like Senior Paralegal Deborah. Brandon, Janice. The one nobody wants to talk about is Billing and Finances. Dominic had been so helpful and kind in this uncomfortable topic. Not once ever had I been made to feel a certain way by him or anyone. Thank you so much Marc Scaringi for your guidance and direction during the Biggest Battle of my life!! Thank you Scaringi Law for standing by myself and my Family as we move forward into 2025. May your Firm and Employees Be Blessed continually. Thank you for having STAYING POWER, Strength, Reliability, Dependability, Professional Support and Guidance. Thank you C. Godwin

I called to speak with someone about a 2A matter. I first spoke with Laura Petty who was very helpful in getting me to the right person. I was amazed they were able to schedule a consultation by the next day! I was paired with attorney Robert Sakovich. He was able to answer everything I had questions about and get me on track to get to a resolution. Their help has been invaluable to my situation. I would have been completely lost in trying to navigate the legal process without their help. I highly recommend them!!!

I can't speak highly enough of Chris' skills and the experience we had working with him on a complex administrative appeal. Chris demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and to critically analyzing the facts of the case to build persuasive testimony. He was extremely sensitive to the regulatory climate and to the importance of maintaining relationships with state agencies through the process. Chris' ability to be both a strategic thinker and quick responder makes him well suited to handle cases of all types. Above all else, he is a team player, unequivocally committed to excellence in his work and a tremendous asset to his clients.

He was up front with estimates and able to tweak his approach to meet the organization's needs. He has exceptional executive presence and can deliver difficult messages with grace and professionalism. He's a problem solver and a great asset to corporate counsel and business people alike.

I cannot say enough good things about Attorney Frommer. During the time of my injury. It was very stressful along with painful. Attorney Frommer was very kind and patient with me. He explained every step of the way. In terms, that I could understand. He welcomed me to call him if I had any questions about the process. He was very understanding and very knowledgeable. He took a lot of my stress away. So I could focus on my healing. I truly don't know what I would have done without Attorney Frommer. He was truly a godsend. I highly highly recommend him for any and all workman's comp cases. You will not go wrong with Attorney Frommer.

5 out of 5 stars, dealing with Mr D'Amico and his team made this whole difficult process so easy and straightforward and brought it down to a level to where I could understand clearly what I needed to do. They were very helpful and respectful of my decisions and encouraged me to only make choices that I was totally happy with.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
