The attorneys who worked on my behalf were instrumental in my being approved for Social Security disability benefits. I would recommend them to anyone who needed help dealing with the Social Security Administration.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Hired them to settle a car accident that left me permanently injured. When I signed they were very pleasant but every interaction thereafter was so terrible it almost caused me more grief than the accident itself. My lawyer, Andrew Spears, ignored me constantly, refused to give me updates on my case, went against my wishes when I asked to settle the first time, and was beyond rude to me. It got to the point where he had the office secretary be the one to contact me and that was only AFTER I began calling and emailing every hour, then every half hour, then every twenty minutes. I am not that type of person but I was completely in the dark through the whole process. 0/5 would not recommend to anyone in the whole world.

Recently ive had the pleasure of working with Shawn & his secretary Heidi. They are fantastic!!!!!! Im a single father of 3, after consulting with other attorneys on my case i was convinced i was going back to prison & loss of license......until i spoke to Shawn. I even regrettably put him into a position he couldn't win, he still stuck by my side & helped every step of the way. Times get tough for everyone & im no exception.....theyve worked with me so immensely on payments. Heidi is incredible, simple communication goes a long way with her. They never gave up on me & i highly recommend working with them. Seriously anyone that reads this, just 1 call to Shawn is all it takes. I wish i could go into detail but the man is a legal genius!!!! I told his what i was hoping to get out of my cases & he delivered better than expected.

I came to Mr. Dorward after I got into jam with a DUI case. Having a CDL I knew I had to have someone with experience in my corner to help save my CDL. It was a very long fought case but Shawn worked his magic and was able to work something out with the DA and was able to save my license and keep my job. Whenever entering into an implied or explicit contractual agreement, I have found two factors to be of paramount importance – competency and trust. This holds true whether involving a doctor, auto mechanic, housing contractor or financial planner. Each of these individuals can have a profound health, safety and/or monetary impact on the lives of you and your family. This applies equally to when you require the services of a lawyer, whether involving estate planning or a significant event requiring legal counsel and representation. There are a variety of approaches to assess competency. Past performance, reputation, references and reviews, are among some of the options that can provide a reliable measure of anticipated performance. Trust, however, is a much more abstract quality to assess. Yet it is extremely important whenever entering into any potentially “high stakes” agreement – issues having potentially significant impact involving the health, safety or financial stability. There are adequate available competent entities for these types of services, but it is difficult and unsettling to enter into any agreement or relationship involving matters of such importance without a feeling of trust. Trust is very personal and it involves a relationship. This was the situation when an event our lives required the counsel and services of a lawyer. It was not an arena that either my wife or I had much experience (in fact very little), but the stakes involved the capability of addressing future challenges that will have implications on life quality for myself and my family. Having someone competent, that we could trust, to represent and counsel us in this matter could not change what happened, but it could make a significant difference in meeting the resulting challenges that exist, will continue to exist, and will almost certainly continue to expand. David Lutz and Stefanie Whitaker were the individuals we worked with at HHR. We found both to be knowledge and professional. David laid out each step of the process, describing and counseling us on options. He answered all questions patiently and thoroughly, and provided helpful recommendations concerning our options. Requested information was provided to make informed decisions, but the decisions were always ours. Stephanie was equally helpful throughout the process assuring that information flowed between parties. She kept us up to date with status and progress, coordinated actions or information required from us, assisting us when needed or requested. Beyond the services delivered by David and Stefanie, was how they were provided. This is where the highly valued trust was evident. The professional, genuine and caring approach they both provided, resulted in a comforting trust. Trust is an intangible component of any relationship, business or personal, that is highly valued, provides profound peace of mind, and makes the partnership productive. This relationship as much personal as business, and the trust developed rapidly. The trust was well placed. In the end both David and Stephanie looked out for interests and needs staunchly, resulting in a very satisfactory and comforting outcome. Neither David nor Stephanie could ever change what has happened. They have, however, provided a means with which I will be much better situated to meet the challenges that will most certainly come, helping assure the future quality of the lives of myself and family, and the comfort the I will have resources to prevent becoming a future burden to my wife and family.

Always there when you need a question answered

In December 2018 my husband was pulled over for making an illegal left turn into a sheetz store and then charged with a DUI . My husbands career and license were at stack. I came across Shawn Dorwards law firm and read every review possible and we decided to hire him. From the very beginning Shawn was in contact he returned all calls or text immediately. The case went to the common please courts at that point the DA was not willing to work with us and Shawn said you didn’t hire me to walk you through the process we are going to fight this! The case went to trial on the day of trial Shawn turned to my husband and said let’s kick some ass! Shawn managed to find every flaw the DA presented from the officers field text to the lab blood work report his knowledge is incredible in my husbands own words he knows his S***! The out come of the trial was not guilty of all counts of DUI . We are forever grateful for Shawn’s work and determination And for saving my husbands career and his CDL license. We put our trust in him and we were nothing but thankful through the whole process.
