Michelle was my attorney she was recommended by a friend and unbenounced to me she is known as the “ $20,000 attorney)” well this is true, she cost me well over $25,000!! After being with her for 2.5 years she quit before my divorce was finalized bc she wouldn’t take my case to court because it was a “frivolous act” and didn’t want to ruin her reputation. She did not do her job representing me b/c she was supposed to get answers as to y my x husband took $30,000 out of his 401k after the divorce had begun and he wasn’t supposed to touch, but no one stopped him including his attorney. He spent $10,000 and the other $20,000 he couldn’t prove over a long period of time and Michelle did nothing about and left it go. So I was out that xtra money from his 401k. Then the sale of our house I was owed $24,000 and she and his attorney left my x husband hold that money from me for 9 months. After I thought representing me she really was not only because (this was during COVID) had to have virtual meetings with Domestic Relations which I couldn’t hear everything being said bc she had ear buds in and agreed to declining spousal support after the divorce. I at this point had just been diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica and bc of that needed his medical insurance, so she declined Spousal Support bc of this and I had no idea she never asked me if I agreed!!! So then after 2.5 of her which I thought she was representing me she QUIT ON ME bc she wouldn’t take my case to court it was “frivolous and wouldn’t take the chance of ruing her reputation “ One of the reasons is bc she never filed my paperwork!!! So, if your looking for a divorce attorney DON’’T call Michelle. She takes your money and charges a fortune!!!

She is extremely overpriced and has no skill in a courtroom. Would not recommend

Michelle helped me understand the law regarding an issue where someone was driving my car under the influence and wrecked it. Since the insurance and car ownership were in my name it made the situation quite difficult for me to comprehend why I was liable? However, Michelle explained the law and such to me in simplistic terms to the point where I came out of the entire situation with little to no repercussions.

I was a client of Mrs. Tokarsky that began in 1999 and continued to 2006. I had an extremely difficult divorce and custody case. She and her associates were thorough and dedicated. They were relentless in their pursuit of justice for me. In light of the challenges and my opponent moving out of state... they were successful on my behalf. I am in debited to her and her associates for what they achieved for me. Money cannot compensate for all that they did.

I wish I could give negative stars. Simply the worst. I spoke with Michelle Tokarsky due to issues I was having with an attorney at her practice. Since she is the managing partner she wanted to discuss the problems I was having. Throughout our entire conversation she was rude, condescending and demeaning. She was exceedingly arrogant. When you are paying an attorney an exorbitant sum for terrible service, to belittle the person who is paying you on top of it all is reprehensible and thoughtless. I honestly have never been spoken to so rudely by another human being. I found her belligerent attitude disgusting. I questioned some charges that I received 18 months ago. I did not review my bills closely at that time because I was more focused on getting my life together, to which she replied, I have four kids and work 70 hours a week and I still take time to check my bills. So it apparently was my responsibility to make sure my attorney charged me honestly. I assumed that being an attorney was a position of trust, but I was mistaken. There are plenty of law firms in the area that will certainly give you better value for your money. Go elsewhere. You will be glad you did. She advertises that she was voted Simply the Best Attorney, well that dubious honor was bestowed in 2006. You cannot coast on tragically mediocre accomplishments forever.

I used Michelle for a custody case. She made promises she couldn't keep, and would do work I didn't request in order to charge me more money. She never solved any of my concerns and actually made things worse for my case. One example of this would be when she would set up witnesses for my case with no intention to actually use them, this resulting In more time on her clock. In the end I did not get what I deserved and was in the hole 30k. I would not recommend Michelle to anybody.
