I had no knowledge of the law or my rights, however I walked away from a job feeling incredibly hard done by. I worked in customer service, and had situations where I was experiencing abuse from customers. My job failed to protect me from the abuse. Him and his firm were incredibly kind and understanding. I felt a lot of anxiety because I had never sued anyone before. I am being paid back the money I am owed, I am able to pay my medical bills that resulted from this abuse, and am able to feel comfort and a relief from the stress of falling so far behind due to my medical bills. I met with Attorney Stark involving what I felt was a valid case. He advised me that there could be problems with it. I appreciated his clarification on this. But, he did say that there was other options that we could pursue. When I called him back to approve this, an appointment was made for him to call me to follow up on this. The appointment date came and went. I called him a week later and he wouldn’t even return my phone call. Instead, he sent me an email stating that he was no longer interested in representing me on this case. I feel that was a gutless move. At least have the decency to call someone in person.
