I am writing to express my sincere gratitude and deep appreciation for the outstanding job Attorney John May did for me. To put John’s determined, positive work in proper perspective, you have to understand where my case stood before I met him. I thought I had an attorney who knew what he was doing, only to find out my case was not getting anywhere. This is the second time we have used John H. May for a personal injury case need. The first involved my husband & the second time involved myself. John and staff were amazing. John represented us in a guardianship case with our son.. He made himself available; returned calls promptly; kept us informed about the progress of our case in a timely manner.. John May represented us in an emergency guardianship case in crisis. He immediately arranged an emergency court hearing on a holiday. He is an excellent communicator who took the time to explain the process to us, collaborated well with us in preparing for court hearings, provided professional, competent, and flexible representation in the courtroom, and followed through with all details in a timely way afterward. Mr. May has good community relationships and understanding of community resources that proved helpful. I my job I work with many attorneys and have seen the full range of legal services from very poor to excellent. John May is on the highest end of the scale and I highly recommend him.

I was hesitant to hire an attorney but am glad I did. John May took care of all the negotiations with my insurance company in my claim for underinsured motorist benefits. This was an enormous relief for me so I could concentrate on my recovery. John met with my husband and I multiple times until we were comfortable with what would happen during our deposition. The deposition was grueling but John had us prepared and was with us the entire time. Thanks to his aggressiveness in pursuing my claim and the time he spent to prepare us, my claim was settled and we did not have to go to court. I cannot thank him enough.

I am very appreciative of the excellent work John H. May and his law firm did for my husband and me after I was injured when I fell on black ice at a convenience store. I suffered serious injuries that required surgery. In the days following my fall I was being ignored by representatives of the company, and Mr. May quickly filed a lawsuit to force the store to produce the surveillance video (that showed that my fall was unavoidable), as well its internal snow removal policies & procedures. In reviewing this evidence, he discovered that the snow removal contractor violated the company’s internal safety rules by piling snow in a high traffic location where it could melt and refreeze as black ice. We eventually went to mediation and, using this evidence, Mr. May obtained a substantial settlement for us. The mediator told us that if we hadn’t had the video evidence (which is often deleted by companies after 20 to 30 days) and an attorney who was willing to take our case to trial, our claim would have only been worth a fraction of what we ultimately received.

My daughter had John H May for a personal injury case. She was a minor so I was involved thru the entire process. He was very understanding of a difficult situation, personable, very easy to talk with, treated her and the family with respect, kept us up to date with the progress of the case and had us prepared if needed for court. He was always available for questions or concerns. He fought for Justice on behalf of my daughter and Justice was served.

I was in a pretty debilitating car accident and throughout the whole process my experience with John May was excellent. He was dependable and always did what was best for both myself and my case. He was always in contact with me and discussed all of the option with e before making any decisions. I felt very confident in his abilities through out the entire process and if not for him I don't think my case would have been resolved as well as it had been. originaly started using mr may on pro bono terms through the lawyer referal program. i wanst ready or prepared for my legal situation but he got me ready and prepared. i was very pleased with his efforts considering no finacial motivation, because with lawyers you get what you pay for and he did alot! more then even a paid lawyer would do in my opinion. he went above and beyond with extras like contemps and special reliefes and did not just do the basic guide this poor guy through and make a deal till its his time to get off my ship comes. he was great! dot down on your level listened to you gave good advice and set me up to go further in my legal procceedings. and i did!!!! he turned on the light and helped me get my ducks in a row. Highly reccommend him! aswell as his whole firm, they are all careing, nice and give you a great comfort zone in the whole MMZ office. i have used one of his partners, and with mr may having prior knowledge of the stepping stones in my case, still continued to get involved and give opinions and do everything he could do to help! great guy! very knowledgeable in law, isnt affraid to putt in effort. really cool dude, who can comunicate and get on the level of his clients with and not just intimadte them with there fancy law degrees and suits. highly reccommend him and everyone at his firm! great people! great lawyers!
