Shelly was fantastic in handling our adoption case. I was adopting my step daughter. I was married to her mother and her biological father was not present and had not been for many years. At the beginning Shelly did a great job explaining the steps we needed to take. She followed through with each one and kept us in the loop the entire time. From a client standpoint, all we needed to do was provide some information and show up. It was a big step in our lives and we couldn't have asked for a better attorney to guide us to the finish line. Shelly Bobman was a decent lawyer. She got the job done on my chapter 13, which was basic and not complicated. She wasn't good at responding and can get snippy for no apparent reason. Overall she was not bad or terrific, just average.

I hired her to help my son in a divorce/custody situation. When Peter Bort, her partner represented us, he was good at returning calls and knew his stuff. Shelly was not. We had to give her things over and over again. She wasn't good at answering and didn't want to go the extra mile. Peter is good except he tends to not really be great at the custody stuff - all other things like divorce and equitable distribution and support - quite good. Custody is a little weak but overall he is good; she isn't. We now have another lawyer and we got much better custody.

Rochelle Bobman's been a great advocate for me and my child. Whenever I’ve had a question or needed something explained, she’s responded quickly and has been really good about explaining things in a way that made sense to me. She’s knowledgeable and takes her workload very seriously which shows in the all of the prep work and research she’s put into the case. She's ethical and hard-working with results to show for it. I have had an excellent experience working with this lawyer. Her legal ability and ethical standards have been demonstrated multiple times during my divorce case. She always responds to my requests very promptly, within the day or next day; this alone is of great confort as, when facing a divorce, personal aspects make the legal issues seem all the more complex and frightening. She explains the situations very clearly, so that I can evaluate and make choices easily; I never felt as I didn't know what was happening. Numerous times during the course of the many months we've worked together, she has demonstrated her legal skill to achieve actions from the other party and results. Trust and peace of mind is also a fundamental aspect, in my opinion, when dealing with divorce as most clients are probably like me, hurt and having a hard time trusting anyone.
