We'd used Shawn Sensky for more than a decade for a number of cases. He is very professional, caring, and honest.

He's very corrupt, a liar, deceitful and plays games with the status quo. He was paid but he violates conflict of interest and ethical guidelines. He will smirk and smile in your face while he's being evil to you about your situation. He does look to violate and take advantage of others and I learned in law school that's not what it's supposed to be like so no matter how much scumbags like him try to normalize their games, they're not normal. He's not a good person he will side with his courthouse pals.

Shawn is representing a family member of mine and has done a great job arranging custody of his two Sons so they get to stay in their home versus running rambunctious and wild with no supervision in bad area of another town with their mother! His retainer and rates aren't cheap, rather a little bit on the higher end of Attorneys fees! But I believe he's worth every penny! The Boys are in need of compassion, structure, schooling & doing their homework, discipline and Lots of Love and Hugs! If you're in need of a good attorney who gets the results that he said he would, then I highly recommend Shawn A. Sensky, P.C.

Mr. Sapienza is the most honest, straight forward, no holds barred man I have ever met. I was hurt at work in 1999. I had 3 back surgeries between 2000 and 2002 and I was only in my early twenties and couldn't work. I applied for social security disability and was denied. I knew it was time to find an attorney and get the legal help I needed. Two small mouths at home to feed and a husband that was working 3 jobs just to keep food in our mouths was the hard journey we were facing. When I first met Mr. Sapienza he told me he would take my case, but that we had a hard fight ahead of us. He told me I had two strikes against me already, one, I was young and two, I didn't look like I was disabled. I just wanted to cry. I couldn't lift over 5lbs, I had to have help washing my hair and I could even pick up my two young daughters. Mr. Sapienza looked at and said " I said it wasn't going to be easy, but I will fight for you!" I felt a wave of relief and the journey started. I called Mr. Sapienza frequently frustrated with the slow government process and each time he took my calls or called me back within 24 hours. Each time he answered ALL my questions, explained all the technical jargon in laymans terms and would tell me to hang in there and not give up. We filled out form after form and waited patiently for the next step. In the end we ended up in Pittsburgh in front of the Workers Compensation review board, I underwent a gruelling physical and demanding questions all with my smiling, encouraging attorney by my side. I was determined disabled and started to cry. It is one thing to know you have disabilities, but its something totally different to be told that you are basically useless. I thanked Mr. Sapienza for sticking by me with all the odds against me and for putting up with all my neurotic pestering. I stayed on Disability until around 2005 and many bouts of physical therapy. I have since gone back to work, took college courses for a medical career and have been working ever since for a local doctors office. Mr. Sapienza taught me that a disability isn't my life, it's just a stepping stone along the way. Thank you again Mr. Sapienza, you are an absolutely amazing attorney, man and all around human being. God bless.

I've been using Mr. Sapienza for years. For all my needs. A personal matter came up with one of my children. Something that you think never happens. Mr. Sapienza took my call and helped me stay calm till we meet the following day. He went to bat once again and assured us that the issue would get handled. And of course it did. He took the time to meet with us and help us through everything. My family will always trust and use Attorney Sapienza.

I found Frank Natale's communication skills to be excellent. He carefully listened to my problems and kept me informed through the whole process. He does not hesitate to make decisons on challenging matters. Promise's were always kept, commitment's honored. I found Frank to have strong ethical and moral values. I would recommend Frank Natale without hesitation.

Frank helped me with a workers compensation case which many lawyers believed was unwinnable. He brought a claim on my behalf and convinced the employer to resolve my case. I did not want to go through the hearings as I was very emotional about what had happened. Frank was very understanding and helped me get through each phase with a great deal of patience and understanding.

Every t crossed. All i’s dotted. This man is incredible at what he does. He works extended hours, weekends, never gives up. He will compose agreements and or decrees that cover his client in several facets. I just can’t say enough good. He’s real, very responsive. Don’t be cheap when it comes to your case. This man is reasonable and simply will not let you get screwed. And I reiterate his response time is phenomenal. Like you are his only client or something. This lawyer works so hard and is so effective. I’m surprised I’m doing first review.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of New Castle, Pennsylvania?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
