I’ve tried be patient with this guy but feel like I’ve just been getting the run around from day 1. I’ve been trying to get some concrete answers on petitioning for a paternity test for several weeks and can’t seem to get any straight answers. I feel like I just keep leaving messages or just talking to his assistant without any real progress. It doesn’t seem like it would be too difficult. At this point I might as well get a law degree and do it myself. Thanks for nothing.

My experience with Frank has been abysmal. He has filed 14 stupid motions and they all have been ignored or dismisssed.. He is unable to hold a thought and is very confused. Recently after ten minutes he still could not find the spot where he was reading. He should have been given his gold watch and sent to the nursing home. WORSE he is gleefully willing to lie and bend things in court. I initially thought Frank might just be acting that he was this lame and elderly but as time went on it is clear the clock has taken a toll on old Frankie. As he prepares for the end and a definite destination of Hell Frankie quotes the Bible and hundred year old case law. It made me very concerned to have him working this case and I still worry about what he did since it makes no sense. When he speaks he rambles and is loud because he refuses t o wear a hearing aid. I wanted to like Frank my my personal informed opinion is you could bring a cardboard cutout to the court, get the same service and save time and money. I hope I never see him on my case again.

He aaas unable to get custody of my daughter from a drug addict, jailed for assault, woman who used the system to keep me from my daughter. He actually came unprepared to many hearings and did a horrible job. When I asked him why he said because I owed him a balance and I did not make enough to pay him. I paid him over $5000 and made month payments. When her mother, Veronica Million purgered herself on the stand and we had a tape to prove it, he did not seek charges. My daughter, Erica died of a pain killer overdose in school when I could have had custody. Her mother was in jail a few times and he didn't do a thing hardly. I got temporary custody. She got her back. Her and her husband were known substance abusers. I hired a private investigator and Verterano did nothing with the evidence we found. He let her use the system to keep me on the defense so I could not see my daughter. She saw her mother use pain killers and told me. Then she found some and thought it would be OK like her mother. She died in school at age 16 in New Castle. I had many opportunities to get custody and he blew it. Unprepared all the time and acted like a real smart a*s and treated me like I was scum because I was just out of college majoring in music and performing and did not make much. I beg you not to hire this money hungry piece of garbage. It was all fine when he got about $5000 from me but when we went to court, he was useless. I could not get my money back and felt I had to stick with him. I was set up by her mother one time and she said I cussed her out and hit her. I had a witness and a tape recorder. We had her dead cold when I could have went to jail as she had the police looking for me to arrest me. Frank did not pursue purgery charges after the judge heard the tape and threw it out of court. Now my little girl is dead because he felt he wanted more money right away. I paid him every month towards the balance. I am an honest, good man and he has no compassion. He actually made fun of me. When I said I had a "gig" to play, he attacked me with acting like he never heard the word and it was some sort of low class lingo. This guy should be disbarred!

I am so pleased with the service that Kathleen has provided us since my injury. We call Dallas Hartman after seeing a television commercial about workers' compensation. I was getting my benefits but I thought it would not hurt to get an expert opinion. Everyone I dealt with was so nice and Kathleen took my information and told me to let her know if anything changes. When my employer tried to stop paying my benefits before I could return to work, Kathleen jumped into action. I am so thankful for her help. It never cost me anything and with her help she was able to get my benefits continued for almost a year. I highly recommend Kathleen Robertson if you have been hurt at work.

Every t crossed. All i’s dotted. This man is incredible at what he does. He works extended hours, weekends, never gives up. He will compose agreements and or decrees that cover his client in several facets. I just can’t say enough good. He’s real, very responsive. Don’t be cheap when it comes to your case. This man is reasonable and simply will not let you get screwed. And I reiterate his response time is phenomenal. Like you are his only client or something. This lawyer works so hard and is so effective. I’m surprised I’m doing first review.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of New Castle, Pennsylvania?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
