My Wife and I hired Kate and her partner to help us with the immigration process. While most of our in person interaction was with her partner Alex, Kate was still very much present in the whole process. We hired Kate and her partner, Alex to help us with our petition for a green card based on a marriage. We were a little nervous about the application process because of the circumstances around our marriage - we are a gay couple with a significant age difference. In my opinion Kate is the best immigration lawyer anyone could ever work with. Her knowledge and expertise is impeccable, and also extremely supportive. The immigration process is extensive and overwhelming and we would never have been able to do this without her. I would not recommend anyone going through the process without professional assistance. Kate always put us at ease by explaining each process and correctly predicting what to anticipate. My spouse also had a child and Kate was able to assist with the K2 visa as well. My wife and I contacted the Brophy & Lenahan P.C after doing some google re search on lgbt inmigration attorneys. We got a free consultation over the phone and they walked us trought the process . We were very pleased so we hired them shortly after. They split out payments to make it comfortable for us . We always had great communication via email and if I ever felt uneasy about something they were always willing to skype us. I know they do office visits as well but we preferred to do skype/phone because it was easier for my wife and I . Don't think this will be any less formal! Everytime they got a letter regarding my case they inmediatly forwarded it to us. Our adjustment of status interview was February 7th and despite it being a rainy day Kate Lenahan was on time and prepared and made us feel so comfortable . She checked us in and then sat with us to go over all our paper work. We were called in and she sat next to us and helped us pull out all the paper work the officer was asking for. I am so happy she mentioned at the end of the interview if they could stamp my passport because we have a honeymoon trip booked for Peru , and so they did but i've heard this in not very common but if it wasn't for her mentioning it i wouldn't have had it stamped and maybe i would of had to postpone my trip. Overall we are so happy we hire them! The whole process can be long and confusing and I admire people who go ahead and do it themselves but having them made this whole process much easier and pleasant and we didn't want to take the chance to miss any information and be delayed . Kate was fantastic guiding me through the Green Card process. She was prompt, efficient and always responsive. She was always available by phone or email if I needed extra guidance. I really liked her approach. She's relatable, reliable and really nice! And in the end I got the card with little hassle.

I first worked with Kate and her law firm partner (and husband) Alex in 2014 when I needed help in my petition to obtain a marriage-based conditional resident status. I worked with her again in 2017 in order to get the conditions removed and receive full resident status, and I’m now working with her again in 2018 in order to become a naturalized citizen. Kate Lenahan made our marriage green card application process smooth and simple. After it was all submitted it was hard to believe how much paperwork we had amassed but Kate made it all seem easy. She expertly helped us prepare for the interview and was there with us at the USCIS office the entire time. Our application was approved immediately after the interview with no issues.

My experience with Kate Lenahan and Alex Brophy can be described by one word - flawless. No one can guarantee you a result you might get from Immigration Authorities and then experience of your immigration lawyer comes to the first place. Kate used to work for immigration equality, a National Organization, and gained experience most of the others do not have. Even before they open your case, you will know all your possibilities. When it comes to financial aspect of your immigration process, you will see no-hassle relations with them. They will never pluck you like a pigeon. What I really loved, they use new technologies a lot. Skype, email, etc, anything that can help you communicate with then on a timely manner and without interrupting your everyday routine. If you read this review you probably looking for a "right" attorney and perhaps you know some steps you need to make, so in my case, my application for asylum was submitted on 04/17/2011 and on 06/18/2011 I got asylum approval. Two months and a wonderful result. Some people wait a lot. Of course, it depends how busy a particular office is, but with Kate and Alex you can be sure that your case wont be delayed because of problems with your paperwork. If you have any LGBT issues in your county, just contact them and you will see how any complicated immigration problem can be easily handled by them. I have been and will be ever thankful for their contribution in my life.
