I had the pleasure of working with Matt on some legal matters a few weeks ago. I found him to be professional, very knowledgeable and thorough with the information that I needed, I would definitely consult Matt again in the future if my situation warrants.

Matt Hovey is a very excellent lawyer, he was able to successfully get me primary custody of my child after her mother unexpectadly moved to a different state. Mr. Hovey is very knowledgable and always honest. He obviously cares about his cases but at the same time remains objective to be able to give the best advice. His hourly rate may was not the cheapest of the other lawyers I spoke to, but it is comparable. However, this is more than made up for as he is very mindful of my monitary situation. He cut my upfront retaining fee in half and my bills were never as high as I expected them to be. and he has been willing to work with me on payments. As an example of how he is mindful of cost when I was talking to other lawyers to decide which one to hire the other lawyers want to file some writ with courts and force some initial hearing that would have cost me thousands and even after this hearing I would still need to go to court for custody. Mr. Hovey explained that he could file this writ but he recomended sending a letter explaining the law to my ex and we would end up in the exact same place as the writ but for a couple hundred bucks. It was an obvious choice. Being that this is the first time I ever needed a lawyer, he was able to calm my nerves and make me feel very comftorable and he is personable and never made me feel like I was being talked down to. He always made sure that I was kept in the loop and informed me of how and why he did the things he did. Like he explained that even though I would want to he wouldn't attack every point my ex was going to bring up because the burden of proof was on her and it wouldn't help. Turns out he was right. In short I am very pleased that I placed my trust in Matt Hovey and if you find yourself in the need of an attorney he is deffinatly the one to have.

Mr. Hovey did an excellent job in representing my wife and I in a contract for an egg donor (IVF). With Matt's expertise, we were well represented, and fully covered for the issues that we faced with process.

It's rare that an attorney gives one a return call regarding one of their cases. Matthew did and it was very helpful in providing information for my case. If more attornies were like Matthew the profession would be more respected. Thanks again Matthew!!
