I initially called Gail to do a review of an LLC Operating Agreement for the purchase of Real Estate that had been drafted by my partner’s lawyers. I wanted to know if my interests were protected in the agreement and in the actual real estate deals we are doing together because we are putting a lot of money on the line. I really expected to hear that everything was fine. Gail took the time to walk me through the whole picture from start to finish. It was an eye-opening conversation because I realized that I was completely unaware of what I should be really looking at to protect my interests. I now know that this is a lot more complicated than I first thought, and now my partner and I are looking to structure the entire partnership differently for tax and liability advantages.
