Shaka Johnson is the best criminal lawyer in Philadelphia. He was recommended to me by another lawyer. I'm so glad he did. He is a beast in the court room. From start to end Mr. Shaka Johnson has been My family attorney for years. He fights battles for the parties he represents and has a caring spirit for his clients. Shaka is a very real and a down to earth attorney/lawyer and he puts his soul into his work. Furthermore he is likes fine tooth comb with his cases how he dissects and digest then processes once entering the courtroom room he transforms from citizen to lawyer!

Went to meet this man after firing my first lawyer because he wanted to settle before reviewing the case and got to consult with Shaka the first day meeting him was greeted and hugged. The next day after hiring him was told to come into the office to sit down with staff and to prep my defense. He moved faster than any other defense attorney I know and he showed up to court ready to defend me. He kept it real about the odds of certain charges and helped me put together mitigation he did not let the prosecutors bully me into taking a deal and gave me my life back. He fought a crazy fight with me and did not give up on me instead he fought even harder when he thought that the prosecutor was being unfair and got me a fair outcome. I highly recommend this man who I call a BROTHER after defending me aggressively to make sure I was given a second chance at life. The entire time he represented me it felt like family more than a business relationship to me. Upon meeting him he was transparent and honest about my husband's criminal case. My husband has been incarcerated for 15+yrs and needed some advice about his release when a law was passed in his favor. He kept it REAL with us and just gave us some good information to support his case once the second case passes. I am anxious to see if he can get released this yr., but we were told to remain patient and hopeful that change was coming and to continue on down the pipeline. I used Mr. Johnson for a 2nd DUI case I was charged for. Overall I had excellent legal representation. Mr. Johnson has a deep knowledge in handling DUI issues and was able to help me successfully get my case reduced down to community service Without jail time. He took a genuine approach to handling my case and was very affordable on my lawyer fees. I would highly recommend Mr. Johnson for criminal issues because I believe I would’ve had to do some jail time had he not been my lawyer.

My first word of advice would be to keep yourself out of trouble. But in the event that you are in need of an attorney that knows the law, these streets, and all of the players who can impact your situation in one form or another, Shaka Johnson is the man to call. I'm not interested in going into detail, as there is very sensitive things about my case, but give him a call if this is your hour of need and you're in search for a defense attorney.

I retained shaka for a probation violation which my probation officer issued a warrant on a October 26th I went to shaka office on the 27th and by the 29th my motion to remove detainer was filed before any payments were made. Once I made a payment we were waiting on a court date I was arrested on new charges the following week shaka was notified via text message and he appeared at my bail hearing and got the bail commissioner to allow me to get sob. After my Gagnon 1 a vop date was issued and Shaka got my detainer lifted just in time for the holidays and before my fiancé has our baby. I was suppose to go to court in January he got the date pushed up and got my home to fight my case from the streets. Shaka is the best in my eyes he is a man of his word.. and he works with people I didn’t have all the funds to pay him he took what I had and worked on getting me out and now I am home with my family awaiting my new born child... thank you shaka
