The day that I called Mr. Fishman was the worst day of my life. I was just discharged from hospital before I was arrested, and charged with assault and recklessly endangering another person. My preliminary hearing was couple days away, and I was 4 months pregnant, with no support system in the city. I had no idea what to do.
