I had applied for a passport this summer to go on a vacation. When I received the paperwork I was denied due to an outstanding warrant in Philadelphia, Pa... I have not been in Philly since the late 80’s. I now live in N.C. I was in the Navy and I was preparing to ship out. I had paid an attorney to take care of the charges, and he did not do his job. After thirty years, I asked Mr. Fishman to represent me. I made two trips to Philly and Mr. Fishman was always assessable to me by phone. He walked me through everything I had to do. The day that I called Mr. Fishman was the worst day of my life. I was just discharged from hospital before I was arrested, and charged with assault and recklessly endangering another person. My preliminary hearing was couple days away, and I was 4 months pregnant, with no support system in the city. I had no idea what to do. Mr. Fishman was really nice on the phone, he calmed me down, listened to my story, told me everything’s gonna be alright. and set up a meeting on the next day. Brian represented me on a Direct Violation Of My Probation Case which could have sent me back to jail. At the violation hearing my probation officer recommended for me to serve more jail time but Brian was able to get me out of that and keep me out of jail with a small probation term. I've had lawyers where I felt that after I paid them and they took my case then they disappeared. You call and leave messages that never get returned and basically they just see you and talk to you 5 minutes before your case gets heard. Brian isn't one of those lawyers.
