Edgar Snyder Team, On March 29, 2023 our friend Kevin Kaufman was involved in a serious vehicle accident which after more than a year of hospitalization and countless surgeries would claim his life. Shortly after the accident, Kevin’s family reached out to Edgar Snyder & Associates for assistance in navigating the liabilities and Workers Compensation questions. Because Kevin's children were both located out-of-state, my wife and I committed to making sure Kevin's business and legal matters were kept current and communicated to him. There were two attorneys from the Edgar Snyder team assigned to the case. Both Doug Olcott and Jim Garver worked on the injury/accident case for more than a year. During this time the dedication and communication provided by your team proved invaluable in helping us to assist and advise Kevin on the path forward. Tamecki, settled our case, with the BEST possible outcome!!!! The entire staff is amazing, caring, available and hands on any time they are/were needed!! My Mother, 78 was a passenger and was pretty badly injured in an accident. She spent 21 days in medical facilities. Her active treatment lasted about 20 months, she is ok, but forever From the beginning they were hands on. She was visited by their investigator on the same day I contacted them. That same day, he visited the location of the accident, talked to witnesses, was able to get photos of the scene, property damage and vehicles, he contacted the police officers that worked the scene talked to them and got the police report. These are very important gather and to have as quickly as possible! As soon as she was released, her Attorney, visited my Mom at home personally which made my Mom feel like she was in good hands, with someone that cared, and she was! She was totally unfamiliar with the process and was nervous about medical expenses. Bills were already coming in. After the visit, her mind was eased and all she was concerned with was getting well! Having been married to a personal injury attorney for many years, (I live and he practices in Tennessee, he couldn’t represent her.) I knew/know how important it is to have representation!!! They dotted every I and crossed all the T’s. I know how the system works. They know their business!! Insurance companies are most unhelpful and uncooperative! In this case, because of her age, there were layers of insurance companies to deal with. Car insurance, the drivers and her own. Medicare part A, her Medicare part B carrier and her Triple A benefits. What entanglements! It makes my head hurt!! Do Not go it alone!! Let the professionals sort it out!!! Please. Medical bills and records are so confusing! On your own it is daunting to say the least in trying to determine who is to pay what. She had the Ambulance, Hospital, X-rays, MRI’s, CT scans, Labs, Rehabilitation Inpatient Skilled nursing, in home health, Primary Doctor, Specialists, etc. All billing separately…..sometimes bills are sent in duplicate etc, etc. Ughhhhh! Mom signed a release, sent them anything related to the accident she got in the mail, her paralegal and attorney handled it. They are/were incredibly kind and caring! We felt among friends! Mom allowed me access to them and they kept me in the loop and in close contact. We never felt like we were a bother if we called them! When she reached her maximum medical improvement, they sent demands (documents outlining her situation along with records) to the insurance companies asking them for monetary compensation. Because they are so good, so prepared and so well known in the insurance industry in Pennsylvania both insurance companies, the drivers and her own (under insured motorist policy) offered policy limits. That is the most and best you can ever hope for! They also negotiated with her health insurance providers to reduce their subrogation (Monies owed to them for bills they paid during treatment that they are entitled to from the settlement.) Which is definitely not something you would want to try yourself! You would have had to know who paid what……for starters, ughhhhhh! My Mom is doing well but will never be 100%. She currently lives in a home with stairs, her mobility and balance was/is affected. The money she received will allow her to be able to move to a new home, where she will be safer and things more accessible before she is able to sell the home she is in. Let me start by saying this is the most personable law firm I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with all your legal needs are met wether in court out outside of it, they worked with me through my workers comp case giving me the best legal advice and council as humanly possible, they were very professional and diligent throughout my entire case giving me all necessary information on any court hearings as well as giving me advice while answering questions.
