I met Sam in 1993 on a hazy, humid, Pittsburgh afternoon. I was giving up. In the past few months I had visited almost 20 employment lawyers in Pittsburgh, trying to find someone, anyone, to take my case. The few attorneys who'd shown ANY interest wanted 2 or 3 grand up front. Money I didn't have. After all, the reason I was seeking help is because I felt I had been unfairly let go from my job. I was passionate about what I believed was real injustice. Nonetheless, I had promised myself that Sam's office would be my last stop. I was worn out from trying...and sick of repeating a story that broke my heart. Anyway, on this fateful day, an attorney a few blocks away had turned me down but suggested I try Sam at his office on Ft Pitt Boulevard; and said Sam was a great lawyer who would sometimes step in, and take a tough cases other lawyers would not touch. Imagine my surprise, when after only about a 20 minute conversation at his office, Sam said, "I like your case. I'll take your case, and at no charge." Fast forward a couple of years, to a federal courtroom in Pittsburgh, and it was on! I watched Sam Cordes state my case, with a brilliance dramatic flare I'd thought before happens in the movies. Richard Gere. Matthew McConaughey. You know the names. I'll tell you what. It became clear to me that Directors and Screen Writers watch the few courtroom masters like Sam when they want to recreate the best of what a quality trial attorney does. And in my case, it was Sam's "best"...that touched the minds and hearts of that Jury, who not only decided on my behalf, but called for a monetary award of a size that made national news. I won't say much more here, but I am sure that Sam will know exactly the case I'm talking about, and be happy to share more if you're fortunate enough to visit him for legal consultation. And feel free to have him put you in touch with me, should you still have any doubts. Sam is honest, tough, caring, and takes cases he believes in from the heart. That's why he wins so much, even against huge powerful firms the other guys are afraid to face, or go the distance with. It's also why Sam and I became dear friends, as we are to this day. I just shake my head at the few pity-partiers among various review sites, who have less kind things to say. But I know better. For 3 solid years...I was there.

I contacted Attorney Cordes to represent me in a "Failure to Hire" discrimination case against a major retailer. I was told by other I definitely had a case and was entitled to a settlement. After contacting Attorney Cordes, and explaining my case, he informed that he felt my case was worth substantially more than what I was originally told. Attorney Cordes was right! Working with Attorney Cordes and his law firm was nothing but a pleasure. He was friendly, professional, and most importantly experienced. Attorney Cordes was always available to answer any questions I had. In fact, I emailed Attorney Cordes a question about my case on a Sunday evening, and he responded within minutes with an answer. If I did not understand something, he took the time to explain it to me. I would highly recommend Attorney Sam Cordes!!!!!!

I contacted this attorney, after he was recommended by a large firm in Pittsburgh. One of his associates was to return my call. After a week, I called and spoke with the attorney who was rude and wouldn't let me talk. He spoke loud enough for my family to hear straight through the phone. (So I contacted and began working with another attorney who was very patient, nice and wasn't arrogant.) After a week and a half, he called back and said he couldn't take my case. I attempted to ask him a question, and he said he couldn't help me because he wasn't taking my case. Again he had a terrible attitude and was very rude. I will never recommend this group. I felt that he had a condescending attitude and made me feel like I was inconveniencing him.

I will agree with the other gentleman's review Joe is the perfect salesman a true one at that. His inexperience and empty promises cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars , wasted time effort & money. He relies on the inexperienced his staff that he will charge you for their time right along with his at the same time when they rarely come up with an idea of the law together ! So just find a lawyer that actually knows the law because he dose not know the law at all. After finding another attorney there aren't enough characters in this paragraph to explain his mistakes and inability to practice the law. This man will take you for a ride. Please be cautious and do not make the same mistakes we did. Do all the proper research on the attorney through many avenues before retaining their services.

After lengthy work with Mr. Bucci, I came to understand that he is more of a salesman at the front end who does not really know how to bring a matter to close. Opposing lawyers seem to control the situation more than Mr. Bucci. I would expect superior results based upon the hours billed and shock of the invoices, but it seemed that I was paying for him to try to figure it out for the first time. His experience as he writes it would lead one to believe that few can provide better service. He is proud of his time in the field. Frankly, he seems to be stuck there -- something more like a jailhouse attorney. The Pittsburgh area has many alternative construction attorneys. Some are more expense, while others are the same or even less in cost. I strongly recommend you seek others.

Mr. Bucci has been my attorney for over ten years and had come highly recommended from another business owner. Mr. Bucci is very knowledgeable in the construction business and has always been very responsive. There is no question I would use him again when and if necessary.

My experience with Mr. Bucci was not good. He promised great things in the beginning, but then had another lawyer at his firm working on the matter for me. The other lawyer needed to correct several promises when it became apparent that Mr. Bucci's predictions were unrealistic. He seems to know a good bit about construction, but he's not a good lawyer.
