In all honesty, anyone would be hard pressed to find a malpractice attorney of this calibre here in Pennsylvania. The confidence Brendan exhibited when taking on my case strengthened my resolve to continue to the end after a decade of injustice involving my case. Indeed his absence of apathy coupled with his genuine humanity made for a truly satisfying and comfortable journey throughout my entire experience. (None of that fabricated or forced empathy you sometimes find with others ). And the financial decision definitely didn't hurt either, lol. We engaged Gismondi and Associates in early 2019. My wife's Mother had passed away shortly after aortic valve replacement surgery. We found an apparent error in her post-op medication instructions that, in our mind, would have caused Mother's complications resulting in her death. After contacting the hospital and being met with a stone wall, we searched online for wrongful death attorneys and found the Gismondi firm. John Gismondi is the Founder. Attorney Joe Froetschel was given our case to handle. Dawn Carson provided medical/legal consulting. We had several meetings with Joe to kickstart the case. Joe took the time to review Mother's medical history, our interactions with the doctors, our recollections of the events before, during and after the operation. Joe's understanding of the case was complete and thorough. At a point one year into the case, Joe and John had my wife and I do an impact statement on video which, I believe, was very instrumental in aiding our case. Throughout the entire case timeline, Joe provided us with updates on his progress. All of our questions were answered and phone calls returned to our complete satisfaction. The volume of documents that were obtained through discovery was immense. Joe and his team worked extremely hard in gleaning the critical findings from the data. As the result of Joe's efforts, the hospital offered a settlement. Joe thought that the settlement was inadequate and convinced us to hold out for better results. We did take Joe's advice. After more negotiations with the hospital legal team, the hospital returned with an offer that matched our expectations. We credit Joe with extracting the final hospital offer. The case took 2 1/2 years to resolve. Throughout, our faith in Joe and Gismondi never wavered and the results are testimony to that faith. We highly recommend Gismondi and Associates and Joe Froetschel for any wrongful death matters. They are fantastic!
