Michael was a huge help in keeping the lot and block numbers and ownership straight during a 4 parcel closing. We had to make certain that the closing company properly reported the transaction by the two different owners of the parcels. The tax treatment will be different for the owners. Some times there are changes that need to be made at the last minute and that is true with our recent closing. Attention to detail when it counted and we are grateful that Michael was able to deal with the closing company lawyer the buyers' lender and of course our family.

Real property was sold for a Trust along with other lots. Lender demands were tricky and we as sellers, needed special designation due to different tax consequences. Deeds were clearly described and seller concerns on payouts were carefully represented. Thank you!

We own a small landscpaing business and we hired Michael Fiffik for an unemployment claim an employee who quit had filed. Also this employee filed a claim with the state labor law compliance division. In our initial meeting Mike took notes, and explained the best scenario and what the worst scenario could be. The next day we received a letter outlining what the cost would be if we wanted to retain Mike. We signed the agreement and returned it. Mike told us exactly what information we needed to fight the claim and wrote the letter to labor compliance and spoke with their representative on our behalf. Because of his knowledge in this area and being able to tell us exactly what we needed to include in our statement to labor compliance they disallowed our employees claim. Next our employee requested a hearing because he was initially denied unemployment benefits. Again Mike was able to tell us the exact information we needed to gather to fight this claim. We got together all the info Mike had requested and gave it to him. The day before the hearing we spoke to Mike and he told us exactly how the hearing would be conducted and what to expect. He represented us at the hearing, knowing the right questions to ask at the appropriate time. We have just found out that our employee also lost this appeal. Mike has also offered to help us in other areas of our business such as putting together an employee handbook. He also made recommendations how we handle our the time sheets for our employees. From the first time we talked with Mike we felt very relieved and confident that he would do his best on our behalf, and we were correct.
