I had an almost exact experience with this firm as another reviewer shared. My husband's immigration case was stressful to say the least. I experienced miscommunication issues, and felt that the firm lacked organization. I tried to be understanding despite the crisis I was in, but became very upset with the firm when a miscommunication issue resulted in a case delay. When I voiced my anger and concerns, I experienced a defensive reply. This led to hostility back and forth, and caused a negative business relationship to develop for the rest of the case. I regret things ended negatively, as I prefer to maintain good business relationships, but I expected much better service for the amount of money spent, and the amount of reassurance I received in the beginning. I was in a very vulnerable state while my husband's case was pending and we were separated. I wish this firm would have made the process easier instead of harder. While Goldstein and Associates did enough for my husband to get approved, which I am very grateful for, it could have been more professional and positive. Despite the negative feelings, I do think they deserve some credit that my husband received approval, therefore, I cannot give them a one star rating.

While we were fortunate enough to have our case approved quickly, we did not find our experience here particularly smooth. Please note we do not intend this review to be contentious, but more so to provide the firm with constructive criticism and share our experience, as we were asked to following the completion of our case. Several times, we were told conflicting information from Mark vs paralegals/associate attorneys and it caused serious stress. We felt we had to follow up frequently or else our case would be lost in the shuffle, as we were told on multiple occasions that “they have many cases so...” If the firm is unable to handle a heavy case load, they should not take it on, and most importantly, they should not be informing the client that their case is being pushed to the side. In addition, we were told we would experience further delays because the attorney is having personal problems (while we understand, we felt this was unprofessional given the price we are paying to engage their counsel for our own family crisis of my spouse’s immigration status). We always ensured to deliver the required documentation or email response within one business day, and yet we did not receive the same consideration in exchange. In the week we were required to file (required by USCIS or else major problems for my spouse), our paralegal was out of office and did not create an out of office message, meaning we were left in the dark for days, unsure if our case was going to be filed - Which as I am sure you can imagine, created great emotional distress. Please note we did raise our concerns, however it was met defensively. All in all, we were disappointed by the unclear/conflicting legal advice, professionalism, and response times. As for the positive, our case was approved in record time (despite receiving an RFE) and our interview went swimmingly. Thank you!

Mark Goldstein and Jelena Gilliam are exceptional with great customer service! I would like to specifically thank Jelena Gilliam for her knowledge, hard work and perseverance in handling my EB-1A and EB2-NIW green card cases. Jelena is very responsive and detail oriented. I recommend Goldstein & Associates for anyone who is looking for legal help with their employment based green card application.
