I was referred to SMT legal, Jonathan Stewart represented me in my case. Mr. Stewart was very thorough in explaining legal particulars, and fighting the fight, that without his expertise we would have struggled. He and his staff went above and beyond my expectations. Having Jonathan Stewart, of SMT Legal represent our case was the best decision we ever made! We lost everything to a house fire on Christmas Eve morning, Dec. 24, 2022. I initially contacted Jonathan for a product liability claim, due to the source of our fire coming from a 2 month old pellet stove. Jonathan took the time to explain Pennsylvania product liability law. He gave examples of what we could do with our homeowners policy and it became quite evident that we had a lot to learn about home owners insurance. Jonathan walked us through our homeowners policy. He was able to explain policy language and made sure we received our maximum benefits. He was easy to work with. He responded promptly with any questions we had and he kept us up to date every step of the way. We live 90 minutes North of Pittsburgh and we only traveled to the SMT Legal office one time for our initial meeting. In November of 2021 (two days before thanksgiving) I was in a pretty severe rear-end collision while sitting in traffic. It left me concussion and a deep laceration on my forehead that extended beyond the hairline. It also greatly hindered my ability to work at my new job I had started in October. Thankfully, I had a friend who had previously recommended Jonathan at SMT Legal and talked about what a phenomenal experience she had. When my concussion symptoms got really bad, my family and I reached out to him and his team and they led us through every step of the process. He helped explain the intricacies of all the related laws and procedures and pointed me in the direction of all the different medical professionals I needed to see to ensure my case covered all the bases and was ready if it needed to go to trial. To skip to the end, how everything turned out greatly exceeded my expectations.
