They could not help me, nor steer me in the right place.

Let me start off by saying Joe is hands down a life savier! I spent a good 5 years going back and forth with the mother of my children and my previous attorney who was clearly just taking my money and doing absolutely nothing for me. My ex attorney got me a crappy 60/40 split and would constantly, all but side with the mother of my children as if I were paying him to help her. I'd present him crazy amounts of evidence of their mother being neglectful. So much proof of her every few months switching up her partners and constantly boucning from house to house, CLEARLY not a stable environment for my sons! I finally had enough and ended the relationship with my previous attorney, I called up Joseph, he got right back to me, immediately scheduled me to come in and speak with him. Honestly I was a bit nervous, I truly felt I needed a woman to fight for me because I was getting drug through the mud for years in this battle, for which I thought was because I am a man, but I'm beyond glad I stuck with Joe. This man took the time to understand my frustration, he actually cared about the evidence I presented him, he had no issue going to bat for me, nor did he let my ex's attorney push us around, he actually put her in her place from the start. There were times I'd email this man over the weekend (I was assuming his days off, and even while he was on family vacation) to inform of issues I was having with meetings with my ex or whatever issues may have accrued concerning my custody agreement, and literally within the hour Joe got back to me. I mean when he replied during his family vacation to Disney World, I knew I had the right guy for the job. We made it to court in about 8 months of working with each other and I got a 90/10 split, thus giving me primary custody of both my sons. Meaning they live with me full time and see mom every other weekend, they go to my school, they are fully under my care. This man didnt give up on me, and I am beyond thankful for his hard work. If you're looking for a great family attorney here in Berks county, look no further because Joseph Guillama is the man for the job!

I hired Andrea Mertz for my husband’s case, because I thought she was good and she disappointed us both. What she specifically told me wouldn’t be difficult to beat was surely that. It was a long drag out. I probably should of went with Polyak instead, but then again he hired her so that judgement was obviously poor. The money we spent on her was definitely a waste and we did most of the findings for her. When she got before the judge the fight that was obviously the bigger picture there’s no proof she didn’t even defend she let the DA (who she’s really good friends) slam my husband. We’ve brought her so much evidence and she couldn’t even fight for him. She’s always rushing us off the phone and wasn’t sympathetic to his health concerns. She gets 1 star for at least returning phone calls. Seek legal help elsewhere, because we’re still dealing with a case that should’ve been closed.

The best lawyer in town. I have dealt with Mr. Polyak a good few times and every situation I was pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend him if you ever need a lawyer. He's definitely worth every penny you spend. He puts his heart into his work.

I recently needed Joe’s help with a pfa and divorce case, and I can say working with Joe was very easy and carefree. He was able to make every hearing I had as well as clear the situation for me. His priority was helping me and making sure I was taken care of and in the loop. He is straight to the point, courageous, and hard working! Joe was able to help me with major concerns and questions without the pressure of payment, because of this I know he truly cares about his clients. For that reason I will tell my family and friends about his great customer service.

Where do I start!!! Joe was the 3 rd attorney I interviewed while trying to replace an existing one who did more harm than good for my case . What stood out was his ability to listen with empathy ,coupled with the knowledge of the law leading him on a clear path how to help me obtain a long drawn out divorce. Joe was very responsive to questions and concerns even in my manic moments , I usually received answers within minutes but no less than 24 hours, either through himself or his staff, which were also very Courteous . Joe did not plow thru my case Rigidly, by the book ,but allowed my input my gut instincts to help him with what I called critical replies to the opposing camp. This resulted in a huge favorable outcome in my divorce . If you are looking for what I called him the great and powerful Oz , no fake here, but just like Dorothy he got me home,safely divorced ,not letting my X due irreparable harm. It would be a mistake to hire anyone else !thank you Joe !!!

I found Joe haphazardly. Little did I know my secretary knows his family well. He gave me facts! He gave me the nitty gritty of what my situation would entail. He did not overcharge me, when he could have, but he told me to be patient, wait, and let him do his job. Needless to say, all's well that ends well. This attorney has integrity, doesn't play games and gets the job done. I have recommended several people to him. I trust him, felt safe, and would use him again in a heartbeat. You won't go wrong with him.

Joe represented me in both my divorce and termination of alimony cases. In both my cases we didn't even set foot in a court room, he's that good. I know all situations are different, but I do not believe you'll find a better lawyer than Joe. If you don't retain him you better hope the other side doesn't, you'll be sorry!
