Keith was very professional throughout the entire DUI process. He was able to explain each step of the ARD program in layman’s terms, and I never felt in the dark due to his transparency. We sought Keith Emerick to represent my wife in court regarding criminal charges made against her during a 302 removal to the hospital during a period of alcohol-induced psychosis. The police charges were made to encourage her to undergo further mandatory treatment (county diversionary program) for alcoholism/mental health issues in lieu of jail time. At the initial consultation, Keith was compassionate and sympathetic to the issues being dealt with by my wife, but he was able to convey the seriousness of the criminal charges to her, and to make a convincing argument that the diversionary program was her best option. He attended the initial magistrate hearing during which the diversionary program was instituted. He processed a continuance of the initial 3-month follow-up hearing due to lack of progress in rehab and diagnoses. During the time between hearings, he kept in touch by phone and e-mail, and was in contact with county mental health officials. Keith represented my wife at the final magistrate hearing, at which the diversionary program was terminated. Keith provided everything that we could have hoped for in legal counsel in this case. We would not hesitate to hire Keith again should the need ever arise.
