I spoke with Michael about a mortgage company unjustly raising my family’s mortgage significantly and giving us different reasons each time we disputed their claims. I shared all of the details regarding the matter with Michael and he was super friendly and joking saying that he reviewed everything and I have a good case and we could sue them. Our goal was to stop the mortgage company from raising our monthly payments. He told me he wanted me to pay for the initial letter to the mortgage company first, to get the mortgage company to stick to one specific reason why they raised the payment, so that when we go to court the mortgage company would have to stick to whatever they responded with. He said once we get the response, we would sue and his fees would be contingent on a win. I should have known right there. First off the letter he wanted to send to the mortgage company was terrible. It had the wrong account number, the wrong company, and a lot of grammatical errors. I had to send it back corrected. As soon as I paid him, the friendliness stopped, he suddenly was always busy, and when the mortgage company finally responded providing us with the same details I already shared with him prior to hiring him, he said his unnamed “expert” told him the numbers are off just a little so they won’t be moving forward with anything. He made sure not to send me anything in writing about his opinion. When I asked him to explain what he thought the details of the letter the mortgage company sent meant, he said his "expert" looked at this for him and that he himself don’t understand it. Now I have to go hire a real attorney. Don't hire this guy. I would give zero stars if I could.

I quickly had to get legal counsel and luckily for me I found Micheal Forbes and Nancy . The Respect and guidance was outstanding at all times, prompt, timely and open for calls and quick updates, and worked through all of the questions and issues I was concerned with. I have hired Michael a number of times and each time I have found him to be dependable, honest and it is clear he truly cares about me and my situation. No one wants to find themselves in a situation requiring an attorney but if you do, Michael Forbes is the guy to call.

Michael has not only given me sound legal advice that has helped me professionally and personally, but his entire approach brings calm to what can be a tense, frightening, or aggravating situation. He is a solo practitioner with a number of clients. If he's at trial or at a hearing, as lawyers often are, Nancy is always able to help me. When I meet with him I have his full attention and, get this, his appreciation of the emotional aspects of a dispute or difficult situation. That alone got me through some very tough times. I saw a review that said Michael was gruff as he headed for trial. I'm amazed he answered the phone! And apparently he used salty language? Hey, he's a Delco lawyer! I'd be suspicious if he didn't! All kidding aside, I heartily recommend Michael for consumer and small business matters, and general guidance on most legal issues an individual might face. If it's not his area, he can guide you to the right place, and you will feel better having consulted him.

I am a previous client of Michael Forbes and was just looking him up to contact him again because I am $15 grand into my current attorney and desperate to get some legal advice from the only attorney I can say that I trust, even though it is not in his area of practice. I happened to see these reviews and simply want to leave my experience and opinion of not only his handling of my case but on a personal level. I also realized I never left a review after my case was complete and he definitely earned one. I had contacted at least 50 attorneys to represent me and every single one hung up after I asked if they had any flexibility on the normally large retainer expected or alternative financial arrangements for payment. Most did not even listen to the outrageous events surrounding my case before hanging up. I called Michaels office and spoke with Nancy, she was so kind and listened to me and genuinely cared about what I was saying. Nancy was fantastic and made me feel like she had nothing to do but listen to me, she told me Michael was busy and would have him call me back. Which he did, and he was a bit more quick on the phone, slightly less interested in the emotional parts, that although, I felt the need to include he knew they had no impact either way legally speaking. My case was by no means something to build a legal career on , or even add to a list of accolades for that matter - it was actually a miniscule little case in the grand scheme of things but he agreed to help me. So the screening process a review suggests is not at all factual. He and I had numerous conversations over the 2 years he fought for me- ending with a resounding win- we butted heads sometimes over the phone because of his time constraints and slightly strong demeanor. With that said, I try to be very understanding of the other persons view. I have come to realize how much he taught me over the course of all them phone calls, when I learned to listen that is.....lol. The fact you got a call back from any lawyer in a ten minute time frame should have been an indication of the caliber person he is. He is all about business and is looking to maximize his available time in order to serve his clients. To fault a lawyer for them characteristics is a mistake, trust me! So when calls and emails were not returned in a timely fashion - I would follow up and if still not returned - I would follow up again. No matter the rate of call or email exchange that I may have wanted , The fact is he always called, emailed when it was most important. I learned something that is a still a core part of how I live to this day. Most times offense is taken and not given. If you want a lawyer that has the time to talk at your every whim - your not looking for a good lawyer. You want a no nonsense, no time wasted, effective lawyer- then look no further.

I called Michael Forbes' office a week ago Thursday and got a call back from him 10 minutes later in a rushed tone that he had no time to talk, just like another reviewer has mentioned. He was very positive toward my case in the brief time we talked, it is the type of case he has written about and was very passionate in saying I have been wronged. He said to have my evidence ready and that he would call me the next day, which would be Friday, or Monday at the latest to discuss everything further as he had deadlines to meet that day. I was excited thinking I would be able to hire somebody who really seemed like he cared and would help me fight this. Next Wednesday came with still no call back. 5 days later. I called him and left a nice message. Nothing. Thursday came. Nothing. Now it is a week later with no call back as promised. Instead of just simply telling you he can't take your case he leads you on and gives you hope. I don't understand what purpose this serves anybody or how professional this would be considered.

If u decide to hire Michael, I can assure you ... you won’t regret it. He has helped me on some very complicated matters over the course of almost 20 years. And trust me, without him and Nancy his wife and assistant, I truly don't know where I'd be with my personal and professional issues.

Michael helped me with a foreclosure. He was honest, patient, and answered my calls and never missed a deadline with the case. He told me what would transpire, and it has been exactly what has happened. He is reliable, and trustworthy, and I would hire him again in a second.
