My son was working with a public defender who was looking at his situation in "black & white" and really didn't listen to his story. We were told to expect 7 to 23 months jail time. Scared, but not financially in a good spot, we didn't think we could get a private attorney. Took a chance and searched the internet and Mr. Skinner's name came up. I think the angels were guiding us. Mike met with us that afternoon. He really listened to all the details. He was knowledgeable and confident but didn't make any unrealistic promises. My son unintentionally lied on an application to own a gun. This is a very serious charge, especially in today's world. It is a felony. Mike spoke to the DA who offered to get rid of the jail time for 2 years probation. We were thrilled with this as compared to the 7 to 23 months in jail and would have been happy to accept this but Mike wanted more. He felt having a felony on my son's record would cause problems for the rest of his life. He asked us to hold off and did some more negotiating. The final outcome was 1 year probation and a misdemeanor instead of the felony. What a blessing! Do not hesitate to have Mike represent you.

Exceeded my expectationsHired Michael to defend my son and a driving with suspended license. Actually two different cases. Received a favorable outcome. I would hire Mike again. He and his staff are very caring.

He handled two Driving While Suspended – DUI Related 1543(b) cases for me. Each charge carried a mandatory jail sentence of 60-90 days. Altogether, I was looking at four to six months in jail. He was able to have the first case dropped to a lesser charge with no jail time! Then he was able to get me on the lowest form of the Intermediate Punishment Program for my second case! Instead of ten days in jail and 80 days on house arrest he was able to get me five days in jail and 55 days on house arrest. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome! I strongly recommend this lawyer. As a side note, his assistant Nicole was very helpful throughout the process.

Our son had been living in a lot of stress and under alot of pressure . Long story short he was loosing his fight against a doward spiral , made some very bad decisions in the blink of an eye and got himself in a world of serious trouble . Not personally knowing any lawyers we turned to the internet after consulting with one lawyer who almost had us sold , we reconsidered and decided to get a second opinion . Mike was the other lawyer who immediately stood out to us when we were examining the long list of chester county criminal lawyers . Even though it was around miday his assistant nicole told us to come right in . Mike put us at ease and dis agreed with the first lawyer on the at the time most urgent issue , and said “ dont worry about that , i really doubt that will happen , but if it should just call me and i will be right there “. The other lawyer had us sold that it was going to happen and wanted nearly triple up front of what mike would charge IF , that highley unlikely situation did arise ! We were so impressed with his candor , that we hired him to represent our son , as he gave us an affordable fee instead of taking our chances with a public defender . Still there was a few months of stress and worry , but mike kept saying “ try to relax , trust me i know what im doing “. AND BOY ARE WE GLAD WE DID ! Everything worked out EXACTLY as he said it would !! I even appologized for second guessing him on something under all the stress . He said “ no worries its all part of the job . “ we pray we never have too , but we will go to him first if need be ! We have recommended him to all friends & family should they need a GOOD HONEST LAWYER !!
