What a relief to have found Dave Schanbacher! I was concerned about the first lawyer I hired, because they seemed distracted, unable to locate papers I had previously given to them and not able to grasp the whole picture. Worriedly, I asked several of my lawyer friends who they personally would use and each one recommended Dave. Boy, were they ever right! I was so relieved at the very first meeting, when he quickly went through my huge, messy pile of papers and was able to figure things out in his head, not even using a calculator. (wish I could do that) He's an extremely intelligent, driven man who cares about me and doesn't ever waste my time (or $). I've been pretty at ease going to settlements and meetings just because Dave is always so well-prepared, emotionally engaged and on top of every little detail. When describing him to friends, I always say the same thing- "He's like a dog with a bone; he doesn't give up!!!" So glad he's in MY corner and not on the other team.

In my opinion they were not worth the money. Seemed unprepared when in court and meetings concerning divorce. I pretty much had to be prepared with own evidence even though they were provided with it and I was charge considerably by them to review. In court I was not impressed, they had no drive whatsoever. Many times they had been given information that would have had proven my case and caught the other party in lies, but due to their lack of preparation it never happened.Seemed like they don’t care about the client. Only thing they care about is how much money they can get out of you. With my experience with this place, I would look somewhere else. I do need to mention my case was a divorce and attorney I dealt with was Dave. He is the only lawyer I dealt with. I have no experience with other attorneys in this firm. WOW!!! SEEMS KINDA OF FUNNY THERE WERE KNOW REVIEWS ON DAVE, UNTIL I POSTED MINE. THEN ALL THE SUDDEN HE GETS ALL THESE 5 star testimonials.SEEMS AWFUL FISHY? Employees, Friends? I doubt real clients. Just my opinion. Just to give you one of my experiences with Dave. It was with divorce Master. I asked him to submit at kbb report on a 4wheeler I owned because appraiser over priced it by $1600.00 dollars. He said he didn’t have to submit it and just bring it with me. Needless to say because he didn’t submit it as evidence “like I asked “ Divorce Master would not accept it. Costing me $1600 dollars. This is the kind of stuff that happened all through my case. I doubt these other people that wrote 5 star reviews can back up their statements, but I have documentation from Divorce Master that backs this one of many issues I had with Dave.Just do your research. I choose Dave because he was working under a big name lawyer that had a good record. Name wasn’t even with law firm title.Just said Cognetti and associates. I think back now and think to myself. For someone that supposely has all these years of experience and titles, why was he a associate? If he was as good as these 5 star reviews, you think he wouldn’t be hanging on someone’s coat tales. My case was in Gettysburg. As far as one review stating something about taking on two judges that had family ties to other party in their case. I wish I would have had that,because I had the silent lamb. In my opinion. Good luck to anyone that reads this.

Without the help of Attorney Phillips, my legal needs would have not been solved nor given the attention they deserved. With her expert guidance, my goals to resolve the legal matters were met and succeeded. Thank you, Amy!

Amy is currently my attorney for a very difficult custody case with my ex whom I share my daughter with. Unlike most attorneys Ive had experiences with she has empathy for my situation and I feel she truly cares about the outcome. Being in a custody battle is far from easy and must be treated with the best care. Amy has far exceeded my expectation. She is very thorough and always has my daughters best interest at heart. When hiring an attorney, you do not need a friend. You need someone who will lead you in the right direction whether you agree or not. Amy has yet to steer me wrong. Her knowledge and strength in the court room blows me away. She is soft and kind, but bold and argumentative when it counts. Clearly, this woman us not afraid of a challenge and does not back down easily. Amy is prompt and very informative. Never have I awaited an answer to a question or wondered what the next step would be in my case. I am pleased with Amy Phillips and would recommend her to anyone.

She returns my calls and emails promptly and answers any and all of my questions and concerns with sound legal advice. Tried using Amy for a custody issue. Think she was more concentrated on how to bill me more and providing me good legal advice. Ended up more hurting than helping in the case.
