They were very unreliable and rude during calls! I would not waste my time with this law firm. They were very unprofessional and hostile towards me. This was just the initial phone call. They canceled my appointment to review my case one day before my appointment and I lost time on my case. Theywere very insensitive about my case issues almost yelling at me on the phone. The people at the company came off as very unhappy and stressed.

I retained Attorney Schanbacher for custody and divorce proceedings. Just had the custody trial and he was very well prepared and was really great in the courtroom (much more than her attorney). He listened to my thoughts throughout trial preparation and was very accommodating to my requests. The trial went in my favor due to his preparedness and experience even in a very "he said/she said" case. I couldn't be happier with him representing me.

I feel even one star is too much. My mother and I worked with Amy trying to get grandparents rights and I have nothing good to say. We were told she was an amazing lawyer and she would do anything to fight for what she knew and felt was right. First we had a zoom consultation with her and then heard nothing from her or her paralegal for months! I had to email and call several times to get a response to find out Amy LOST our file in someone else’s case file! That should have been enough for us to say ok we need to find someone else but we thought we would give her a chance I mean after all we are all human and accidents happen. Then we were charged for a visit to the office to do nothing but the exact same thing we did in the consultation! Long story short, 8 months after contacting Amy, we were told there was nothing more she could do for us and we had to withdraw our court case. There were several times I emailed and called and received no response. The entire time we felt she wanted nothing to do with our case and just wanted to throw it aside but still collect our money. When we withdraw our court case I emailed asking about a refund that Amy stated we would receive along with requesting all the documents that were filed in our case file, I again had to email 3 times asking for these before the paralegal responded and acted like she was oblivious to any lack of communication through our whole case when she was included in all of the emails. I can’t speak for the other lawyers but I would not recommend Amy for any family law case.

Dave Schanbacher was retained for a relocation and custody hearing and from the first moment was dedicated to helping me prepare and win my case. His knowledge of family law is unparalleled and his straightforward approach was appreciated. Dave is a thorough and skilled attorney, and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking representation in Family Law. His preparation and work in the court room left opposing counsel fumbling and grasping at straws. Thank you for all that you did for us.

What a relief to have found Dave Schanbacher! I was concerned about the first lawyer I hired, because they seemed distracted, unable to locate papers I had previously given to them and not able to grasp the whole picture. Worriedly, I asked several of my lawyer friends who they personally would use and each one recommended Dave. Boy, were they ever right! I was so relieved at the very first meeting, when he quickly went through my huge, messy pile of papers and was able to figure things out in his head, not even using a calculator. (wish I could do that) He's an extremely intelligent, driven man who cares about me and doesn't ever waste my time (or $). I've been pretty at ease going to settlements and meetings just because Dave is always so well-prepared, emotionally engaged and on top of every little detail. When describing him to friends, I always say the same thing- "He's like a dog with a bone; he doesn't give up!!!" So glad he's in MY corner and not on the other team.

Amy worked wonders for me. She was recommended by several people I know and I can see why. She is very knowledgeable and helped me get primary custody of my daughter. She also tells it like it is and doesn't tiptoe around the issues. I'd highly recommend her to anyone with family matters.
