If you have money to throw away then you should hire Ed Roy, otherwise find another attorney. He comes across as a nice guy. I listened in on a conference call that he had with the "other" attorney and it was embarrassing and frustrating. He did nothing more than agree with everything they said. He was not aggressive at all, he was passive. I could have handled that call better myself. I threw my money away by hiring him. He tells you he has ways around your situation to help you. When the time came to use those ways around, he didn't have any. He became very arrogant with me the client that hired him. His final recommendation to me was to do exactly what I was fighting. He didn't even bother to call me on the phone and did no follow up to his recommendation. He becomes very insulting and rude. When we first met he told me he was working for me and would do anything I wanted. His attitude changed after I hired him. Needless to say he was not the right attorney to handle my case. He just wasted my time and my hard earned money. If you want someone to be aggressive, I recommend you find a different attorney. Don't waste your time or money here there are plenty of attorneys out there.Unfortunately I spent my money on the wrong one which just added insult to injury! This my opinion based on a bad experience with this attorney.

Ed Roy took a fee from my girlfriend on false promises. He was not diligent and aggressive. Instead, he was lazy, hostile, evasive and unprepared for court. He also concealed a conflict of interest. His ineffectiveness ruined my life. Even a novice lawyer could've defended me, as the prosecution's evidence was weak and tainted. All I got from Roy was false promises and boasts. So typical of Rhode Island.
